I was at a Cardinals game on Saturday with Reelbluefan for my bachelor party. My one regret is that I'm getting married in August, meaning that I couldn't have my bachelor party at a Blues game. The good side is that my anniversary will never be on the night that the Blues are playing in any way.

Nonetheless, we kept talking about how baseball just didn't give us the same excitement as a hockey game. Reelbluesfan said that following gem:

"It's like giving a crack addict a cigarette. There's no way it compares."

Ain't that the truth?

I don't know, I definitely live for hockey season, but I also really REALLY enjoy baseball. Nothing like sitting in front of the idiot tube with a 6-pack watching MLB Extra Innings all night. I'm not a Reds fan, but I go to a ton of their games because Great American Ballpark is 10 minutes from my house.

Yea I'm usually fine during the offseason because of baseball too. It must suck for those of you who don't like it because there is NOTHING else at all.

As this team stands right now I'm very excited to see them play. I'm still iffy on Brewer and Jackman though. Not for sure Brewer if he's going to be able start or if he's going to play again with the back injury and all. And if Jackman was so banged up last season, does anyone know if he had any kinda of surgery? But besides from these 2 guys I think we should enjoy a real good season for Blues hockey starting in...sigh...October.

It better had been a lobotomy. I know they blamed the injuries and what not, but he looked really lost out there (and that's when his head was actually in the game).

He was constantly out of position and caught flat footed often late in the season.

I thought he was finally playing well in DEC and JAN, but then it all went to hell which would point to injuries, but many of his mistakes were mental....not physical. I guess that could be attributed to frustration.......I guess.
