I'm glad I got to see Murray yell at Berglund at the top of his throat.

John Kelley: "Blues PK has been great. Killed the last 18."
Sharks score 2 seconds later...

Man, San Jose is good. Even in the 1st when the Blues outshot them, they were hitting hard.

Oh yeah, the penalties have been stupid. Ticky tacky bull that took the intensity out of the game. I say the players where flags on their hips and we play flag hockey. WTF.

The calls have been pretty weak for the last several games. I know they want to take clutching & grabbing out of the game but gimme a break.

I sure am glad our owner threw a fit about our premier coaching, our lack of effort, our home losses, and our inability to hold early leads. It obviously worked because we blew an early lead, didn't have effort, and lost at home.

Face it, Dave: your premier coach is a loser. Fire him before the season's out of reach, and we're heading that direction right now.

We've out shot them by MORE than a 2-1 margin...effort wasn't the issue.

Suck was.

I don't think you can say there was a lack of effort from most players tonight...maybe with the exception of Boyes.

hmmm.... Bill Laurie wanted to bring the NBA to St. Louis and bought the Blues as a means to reach that goal, then effed up the roster so he could sell when he realized that wasn't going to happen. Team gets bought by Checketts who is, historically, an NBA guy first. How about getting HOCKEY people in ownership? People who know what the hell the deal is? JD, Chopper and Jarmo should stage a coup and drive Checketts out of town.

/ emotional outburst

I know what it is. The curse of The Panger. gotta be it. These guys couldn't suck off a goal to save thier lives and there is no reason for it. There is a lot of talent on this team. Just can't explain it.

It's the job of the coaching staff to maximize the talent on their roster. If Checketts can't see that the talent is very clearly NOT being maximized, he's totally blind. Either that or every draft pick the Blues have highly touted in the past few years has actually been destined to bust and Jarmo isn't as good as we think he is.

I tend to lean towards the coaching staff not doing their job.

I think I'm done with this team. I have very little free time and I've have been making a big effort to make time to watch the games... And for what? All they ever do is piss me off and put me in a foul mood. I can do that on my own. Screw this team. I'll watch when I can, but I'm not making an effort anymore. Why should I? What's the point.

Maybe when they win 2 games in a row, I'll start again... So probably March or so.

It's too bad that we generally choose our favorite teams when we are at a young age and don't REALLY know what we're doing. I don't think anyone would have signed up for this had they known that we'd be here, 43 (or whatever it is) seasons of existence, and 0 cups.

I picked the Blues because I like music and enjoyed saying "Shanahan" not because the team was necessarily good.....

I really screwed up because I'm also a White Sox fan (because Frank Thomas was gigantic at hit homers..that was my reason). Granted they won in 2005 but there was quite a dry spell in there as well. I may never see another one. So I get a Summer of suck and a Winter of suck, all completely self-inflicted.

The tragedy is that I could never change teams and root for someone else. These teams are in my blood now. I have other teams I follow and like but my allegiance will always be to these teams as painful as that is.

It's the Brewer curse. The Blues were winning all last season when he was out and doing decent until the rumors of his return started this season and have been worse ever since his return. What happened in his first game back? He sucked. What's happened in most games he's played this season - he winds up minus even when the Blues score 6 goals and the opponent only scores 1.

Can someone explain why he's still the team captain?

You know coaching is in the sh*tter when the opposing team's goalie says this...

stlouisblues.com game summary wrote:
"They were shooting from everywhere and going for the rebounds," Nabokov said. "It obviously was their plan."

"Work harder! Work harder!"

"What about better plays or line combos coach!?"

So wait a sec.... You want the people in charge of the Blues now, to run out the guy with the money that put (and keeps) those guys in charge? Wha? :?:

Psst...Blues Goals Against has gotten lower since his return.

Just an FYI..

But please, continue blaming Brewer for the lack of offense since he's been back. (two points by Brew.)
