LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Tuesday the club has acquired forward Pascal Pelletier (pas-KAL, PEHL-tyay) from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Brendan Bell and Tomas Kana.

Pelletier, 26, has played in 25 games this season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Syracuse Crunch, recording 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) and 23 penalty minutes. Last season, the 5-11, 197-pound left winger notched 55 points (29 goals, 26 assists) and 45 penalty minutes in 71 games with Rockford of the AHL. But is it setting up for something bigger? The Blues always seem to make these smaller moves before something larger happens. May not be the case, but just something to think about.

Way to shake it up!!!

Why wasn't Bell given a shot w/the Blues? He didn't even dress for a game. I'm a little confused. His numbers weren't too horrible last season for Ottawa... 53 GP, 6G, 15A. He wouldn't have been a Norris trophy winner or anything, but still...

Since they moved Bell who is a defenseman, it just tells me they plan on sending Petro down when he gets back from the Juniors’ tourney.

Jonas Junland was going to be given that call up. Bell was just holding Jonas back. Now Strachan will be his PP partner, and Junland will be given the chance to shoot more. Junland could be a 50 goal scorer now.

50 goals? Really? Hell, bring him up here and start him on offense.

Sit Janssen and put him as a forward.

Bring Strachan up and sit Sydor or Jackman or Brewer whenever healthy.
