For the love of God...let us be leading going into the 3rd period and NOT blow the f'ing lead for once.

I hope we:

(1) Beat the snot out of every blackhawk player that laces up skates tonight. We need to physically beat on them from the opening faceoff until the final buzzer. Finish checks, throw hands... hell, throw elbows and knees to the stomach, I don't care.

(2) Win on the scoreboard. I don't care how, just win the freaking game.

Sadly, I think we will play like little girls again, in awe of the 'hawks ability to skate and score.

Hawks 4, Blues 1 (Walt, pp, trash).

First Period

Zero ability to get any other kind of scoring chance than a shot from the point
Good thing they don't teach covering for your defensive partner until like college-level hockey
No clearing ability
Kariya is old
It's okay Boyes, it's not like you're supposed to score goals or anything.

It's all just an unfortunate lather, rinse, repeat cycle that just never stops.

Wait a minute, so let me get this straight, the Blues had a 2 goal lead going into the 3rd against one of the best teams in the NHL, and they DIDN'T blow it? Huh...that's an M. Night Shamalayan-like twist ending there. I'm floored.

WE HAV TEH BACKIS!!!!

But the Blues just looked more relaxed in the 2nd period. First period they were all over the place. Just seemed like once they calmed down and just played, they were fine.

And the Blues were definitely a little slow-footed tonight but luckily for them the Hawks seemed to play to the Blues' game and not force the speed up, otherwise I think we woulda been in trouble.

Night and day from the last 2 times these two teams played- especially from last time. No fights, negligible penalty minutes, slower more boring game. Whatev. We won.
