Shave it! My hair is disappearing at a similar rate. I don't shave it smooth, but I take the clippers and buzz it about 1/8" long. The clippers cost less than a single haircut at Great Clips too.

Instead of worrying about Payne's hair, you pansies should be focusing on protesting how this crap league has wussified the game.

STEP 1 TO MAKING THE NHL GREAT AGAIN:

raise the crossbar 3 inches and widen the goalposts by 6 inches.

The goalies are bigger. The equipment is bigger. IT ONLY MAKES FUKKIN SENSE TO ENLARGE THE SIZE OF THE GOAL SO MORE FRANKING GOALS ARE SCORED.

STEP 2:

GET RID OF THE INSTIGATOR PENALTY

STEP 3:

MORE DIVISIONAL GAMES

I have spoken.

shaving it off would have a toughening (is that a word?) effect on the entire league. why just the other day, i got my hair cut, walked right outside and got into a fight. amazing.

Agree with 2 & 3...not with 1.

It's pretty simple...make the goalie equipment smaller, like it was back in the day...AND ACTUALLY ENFORCE IT.
You can't change the size of the goals. That's getting ridiculous.

I agree...all teams should have to do is challenge the size of a goalie's pads for example....and if they are too big, then their team gets a penalty....just like challenging the curvature of a stick. the goalie pads would be way easier to enforce than someone's blade curve. players can quickly switch sticks and what not. but a goalie's pads are pretty hard to hide or switch out, its not like mason could swap out pads on the fly. he could do it between periods if he felt the other team was catching on that he was violating the rules, but he would be too obvious. in fact, the refs could just whip out a measuring stick and do it before the start of the game, or each period for that matter, it would take 5 seconds. just like in little league soccer when we would all get down on our knees and do a cleat check. and the ref would say...."ok guys, no ear rings" and then there would always be one kid that would say something like "haha i better take my ear ring out" when no one on the team had anything such. nowadays though, i would say a lot of little kids have some bling going on....i got off subject.

it's not just the pads, it's that the goalies are bigger too. goalies used to be 5'8" 5'10"... now you have guys who are 6'3" and up...

not all but if the players are getting bigger, doesn't it make sense to make the dimensions of the goal bigger?

Why is that a problem? It would take all of a few months for goalies to adjust.

I find that to be the easiest, most instantaneous/effective way to increase scoring.

But I can see it now... in 3010, the average goalie is 7'2" and Curtis Price V is saying "enlarge the goal?? that's ridiculous! That 5 square inches is plenty to shoot at!"

The dude should overdose on Rogaine and grow that awesome mullet he had back in the day. Forget shaving off his hair, add more to it, and bring back the mullet in the process.
