Thoroughly outplayed in the 3rd, but capitalized on the turnover. Still not enough offense from this team. 2 goals/gm (2.47 under Yeo) does not win in the playoffs over a 7 game series.

Lehtera - disappearing act. 16 shifts (fewest in game), only took 2 faceoffs. So why was he playing at all??

This "no passengers" line from Panger that Bernie repeated is complete BS. Lehtera was a major passenger in this game. Paajarvi, other than 1 shift, looked like a passenger. Jaskin actually appeared to be putting forth effort in both zones.

Parayko was outstanding in this game.

Shades of Roman Turek by Allen there @ the end. Otherwise he was outstanding.

Boudreau should be fired after the game for losing to a team that skated 23-12-56 out there for any period of time. Sad!

I fully expect a letdown on Friday night @ home. 4-1 Ducks.

While I'm happy they won, it is extremely difficult to be excited about a team which is averaging 1.5 even strength goals/game over the last 10. In the last 7, the Blues only scored more than 2 goals once and that was 3 goals, 2 of them on the PP, against the worst team in the West. This is similar to what the Canucks were doing at the start of the season - 3 out of 4 games they only scored 2 goals, but still won. And then, when they started losing, some were asking what happened.

This is still classic Yeo. Defense and goaltending with no offense.

Lehtera would have had the least time on ice again, but he was given time on the PP and got caught on the ice during a line change which became an icing. That combination extended his ice time by almost a full minute, so he wound up with more time than 10 and 75 in spite of playing 2 fewer shifts than the 10-28-75 line. If the guy isn't getting it done to the point the coach won't even allow him to take faceoffs for 2 entire periods, he shouldn't be playing at all, especially as a center.

Agreed, glad to get a much-needed two points (and prove every single one of us wrong), but it would be nice to put up some more goals with a little consistency.

Interesting note: of our remaining 17 games, only five are against Central Division teams (Colorado three times, Preds once, Jets once). The rest are against Pacific or Eastern Conference teams. Seems a weird way to wrap up the regular season. No Chicago or Minnesota at all.

Add in Arizona 3 times and Carolina one. 7 of 17 games against the league's bottom 3.

Yeah. They aren't going to have any trouble reaching the playoffs and reach it with the team feeling confident, because they are going to beat up on the bottom of the league.

The issue is will they improve in even strength scoring (doubtful) and will Yeo ever pull his head out of his butt and quit playing Lehtera at all, as he deserves. My fear is Yeo is going to use the "we won with this lineup" against two teams while ignoring that he pulled Lehtera for faceoff duty and were it not for an icing, Lehtera is being played less than Brodziak, Reaves, and Upshall. Why keep playing someone you know is not contributing to the point you, as a coach, are limiting what he is allowed to do on the ice??

Coach Yeo had a rough day with his "rich" and "experienced" media scrum and they're still not scoring much, but it was nice to see Steen's minutes cut into a little. Only 15:43.

And Theo mentioned 55, who played his ass off, but props to the 17-26-91 line. They played big minutes, buzzed all night, and would have scored a couple more goals if not for hockey god intervention. Let's keep these boys together, shall we?

Still, 4-1 Ducks Friday.
