It was unfortunate that Upshall threw that blatant elbow. But, I'd rather have The blues playing chippy than just letting The wild skate. The Blues are in this game, and could still leave Minnesota with a 2-game lead. I'm surely liking this game better than Game 1 before the OT goal.

Interesting ending there - seemed like half the building thought they tied it not realizing the clock ran out 2 seconds before.

2 Games to None :woohoo: :goblues:

With the Blues getting it going in the 2nd, finally, they should be pumped for the home games. The 2nd and 3rd period were what one would expect in a competitive road game between almost equal teams (statistically).

Go Sharks! Go Flames! Go Preds! Because if they all win, the Blues have home ice... :)

And Yeo needs to officially remove Steen from taking face-offs vs the Wild. He was 0-for-8 tonight, now 0-for 12 in the series. Sobotka took the draws in the 3rd for that line and was 50%.

Unbelievably timely goal by Schwartz! Can't believe we're up 2-0 before even heading home.

Dooooooob was crying after the game about the 4 on 4 in which 17 sniped the winner. Hahahaha victory is sweet.

Blues should have been a man up, 5 on 4 or 4 on 3.

The Blues' team defence was stellar. They kept The Wild to the outside all night, stood them up at the Blueline, stripped and stole the puck in the neutral zone, and smothered the puck carrier after each completed pass! Excellent game plan and execution. If not for those 2 weak calls leading to the 5 on 3, it could easily have been a shutout, more attributed to the forwards and defencemen than to Allen.

I hope The Blues play that way in Games 3 and 4.

I was actually a little disappointed that was called. I mean, his elbow clearly went up, but I didn't think it was anything vicious and they mostly seemed to have been letting them play. Hell, they let a slash go that happened when Steen got called for the first penalty of that 5 on 3. It's possible I'm being a homer though I guess.

Agreed. I don't remember who it was, but they had an extra guy come in late. I thought at the time that we might get a PP, but wasn't upset that it was 4 on 4. I'm generally of the opinion that little scrums like that should rarely result in a PP for either side.

Let em whine I guess. I'd rather be the winning team than the whining team.
