Having had the opportunity to digest this series win for a little while now, we got very lucky in a lot of aspects. Minnesota played great, Jake played better. I'll excuse the 3rd period of this one because what the hell do you expect to get against a team with their backs absolutely against the wall?

But now we have a fresh series with a team coming off a stunning upset. Nashville will be confident. Whether they're the right amount of confident or overconfident will be the difference, and we have to take them very seriously because there were a lot of times we were being grossly outplayed and luck runs out eventually.

I don't believe the Predators have the depth to attack the Blues the way the Wild did. Yes, they will roll 4 lines, but so will the Blues which is something the Predators didn't face against Chicago. For once, the Blackhawks lacked depth in the playoffs.

Great to see The Blues not wilt away on the road after being tied and losing a 2-goal lead. That shows some character. The team has gained confidence. Good thing, too, as The Preds have a lot of confidence going into this next series. I call this "too close to call". Allen has to keep up his high level of play, and The Blues need to continue to attack after building up a lead, rather than turtling, like they did in today's game.

Talk right now keeps pointing to the Predators being 3-2 vs the Blues this season. Time to consider context. Blues were 1-3 vs the Predators under Hitchcock with all four games being played in 2016. Blues were 1-0 with a 4-1 win on 4/2 under Yeo. It's fair to say the Blues have been playing a much tighter game under Yeo, than they were in those first four matchups. The Preds only goal in the Blues 4-1 win - scored on the power play. All 4 Blues goals were in 5-on-5 play. Sound familiar?
