Canada breaks through first vs. Slovakia on a goal by Steel, Kyrou made the initial pass, and got the secondary assist.

Canada scored a 2nd goal that was wrongly ruled offside, but under the rules they cannot overrule the call made on the ice.

Maybe they are making up for the goal vs Finland they incorrectly ruled a goal when the net was clearly off the moorings, knocked off by the Canadian player, before the puck crossed the goal line.

Thomas has again been at the centre of the offensive action for his line as in Game #1.

Kyrou has been hanging around the crease and had 2 nice shots in close.

Kyrou with a nice one-timer blocked by the goalie at the 1st Period buzzer. Canada played well, but only up by 1. Earlier, Bean was helped off the ice after crashing into the boards. Canada down to just 5 defencemen. That might hurt them in the tournament if both he and Clague can't come back in time for Friday's game vs. USA.

Kyrou makes it 2-0, and not long after, Gadjevic makes it 3-0 pouncing on a nifty rebound.

Gadjevic makes it 3-0, and Canada follows with a 4th goal by Raddysh. 4-0 Canucks! Time to concentrate on The Blues' game.

Kyrou made a super move to get in on goal alone, but is stoned by the Slovak goalie.

3rd period, Team Canada's 3rd and 4th line got more ice time than the top 2 lines.

Canada ended up winning 6-0. Bean returned to play. This sets up a great game Friday on the outdoor rink.

Actually watched a good part of the game yesterday while I was at Bdubs to watch the Blues and Boilermakers play. Looked good! Liked seeing Kyrou and Thomas out there flying around. Good stuff :okman:

Nikolaj Krag, Blues prospect, scored a PPG for Denmark in their loss to Finland. Nice wrist shot from the circle.

The Danes are completely outmatched in this tournament, thus far.

Yes, it was a very nice-looking goal. Krag is a smooth skater, who has good offensive sense, sees the ice well, has a nice wrist shot, and passes well. His main questions are whether or not he'll be able to create enough space for himself to initiate plays in the faster-moving, harder-hitting NHL. He's not very strong, and doesn't seek out the tough areas. To me, he'll have to gain some bulk and a LOT more strength, and play a more physical game (not shy away from the tough areas-and hold his own in battles for position and for the puck.

Amazing! Slovakia upsets USA! Unbelievable! USA will need to play better defence if they expect to beat Canada tomorrow.

Glad to see Kotin start asserting himself, scoring 2 goals in Russia's 5-2 win over Belarus, and dominating on offence. He's got big-time offensive capabilities, and just has to get used to Th American game, and his teammates. He will explode when things click together. I expect him to catch fire with San Antonio when he returns there, and be brought up to The Blues later in the year.

Makar rifles one in on the PP for Canada. They lead 1-0 over USA! Thomas got an assist on it.

Quick sticks by Canada's PK unit, not allowing USA PP to set up, ate up most of that PP. And the kill is made!

That PP was a big opportunity USA wasted. Good kill by Canada.
