Who Are They?

In a poorly written article at 101sports by Travis Green, he rips Schwartz pretty good and insinuates that he was one of the culprits behind the team "quitting" on Hitch. I've been watching this franchise since I was knee high to a grasshopper and unfortunately attended the 8-0 thrashing from the Ca...

Re: The Official Prospects Thread

My son got to play in some friendlies in Toronto last weekend so I took advantage of the opportunity to watch Kyrou play in Mississauga. It was cool to put eyes on some of the youngsters. First of all, we ran into Bill Armstrong in the concourse before the game...not sure if he was there to check on...

Re: Off Season Roster Change Suggestions

I'm not saying Stewart doesn't have shortcomings, or that he deserves big money. I'm saying considering what they spent to get him, and the fact that he played like a little girl this year thus lowering his price, I don't think there's any way the Blues don't re-sign him.

They traded a number one overall pick for stewart. He'll get another chance.

Re: Blues vs. Kings - Playoffs - Game #3 - 1998

Took me some time to figure out who #10 was out there for the Note. Good god, Soupy Campbell. What a collection of stiffs beyond the stars that team had on it. One of the reasons I have enjoyed this team so much this season. The Blues are so deep right now it is ridiculous.

I know he had one for sure when he jumped up and elbowed Jackman in the face in Detroit along the boards earlier in the year.

Think that was probably the blues worst game of the series thus far. Hope they are able to skate them into the dirt Saturday.

I stand corrected Curt. Must have been the 14 Bud Ices I had that night that fogged my memory. Hadn't watched the clip since. Wish I still hadn't.

Re: What are your expectations for this postseason?

Screw the playof experience argument. Ever since the advent of the cap, the NHL has looked more and more like the nfl. No matter how the blues project for the future, who's to say they will ever go into another post-season with not one but two goalies who actually have a sack? They have as good a ch...

Went to both games this weekend, and tried to iso Stewart every shift...he is franking brutal. I don't honestly know how he's scored 11 goals this year the way he plays...the team is phenomenal, if they could actually convince this guy to play a few shifts every night, look out.

Re: Blues Not Convinced They Need To Make Trades

The system does play into the lack of scoring to a degree...as does the positioning on the ice. How many Blues centering passes end up traveling all the way to the blue line or the sideboards because they seemingly never have anyone in the slot? I don't know if that is the players' lack of offensive...

If the Blues can't light up Ryan Miller Saturday, then we will know they are unable to score and not just getting stoned by hot goalies regularly...that dude is a sieve recently.

Re: Board Games

I do a fair amount of board gaming too, both the classics and some of the designer games you mentioned. I like Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan a lot, and their expansions. Ticket to Ride is good but I've only played it once so far. The recently reissued LOTR board game is similar to Pandemic in t...

Re: What would you trade for Bobby Ryan?

Blues still a legitimate scoring threat up front and another stud hybrid type defenseman away from being in a legitimate playoff threat conversation in my opinion. Bobby Ryan is a stud. If Berglund does not step it up noticeably over the next few weeks/month, I don't think Armstrong will hesitate in...

Re: Blues Sign Scott Nichol

No way is Reaves a regular starter over Crombeen. WTF? Crombeen is a legitimate NHL 4th liner, Reaves *might* be NHL player. Exactly, Reaves wanted to try and test the market and try and garner more cash and all he got was splinters on his ass from riding the bench (or more likely the press box) 4 ...
