Re: Christian Ehrhoff waived

Bortuzzo is filling in fine. No need to rush Pietrangelo back and no need to pick up someone else.

Re: Lehtera Out 6-8 Weeks

Good he'll be back in time for the regular season. I also never got why they put off surgeries for so long if they knew they'd need it, but I guess they know what they're doing so I'll leave the medical stuff to the medical professionals. He'll be back in time but will he be hockey ready. Need a 2n...

Re: Lou Lamoriello Leaves Devils, Becomes Leaf's New GM

Makes me wonder if the Blues will lose a crap-ton of draft choices because Shanahan may have tampered with Lou. 8)

Don't need him. He dumped on the Blues last off-season. Wait 'til this off-season and orchestrate a trade.

Lehtera has taken his place.

Once the playoffs start, we all know Elliott will be the guy starting every game. Is he good enough to help this team win a cup this year?
And why or why not?

No, too inconsistent.

When is the Sobotka statue joining Federko, MacInnis and Hull outside Scottrade?

Re: off season mid term status report

All because they didn't sign Vladimir Sobotka? Wow. He wanted $4 million to be a bottom 6 forward? No, not just because Sobotka. Sobotka, Berglund and Ott taken together make me wonder if this front office has the nous to finish the job, ever. They seem more interested in proving that their methods...

Re: Roman Polak to Toronto for Carl Gunnarsson and Pick 94

Understood about the lefthanded shot. Personally I don't feel like it'll make much difference but I hope I'm wrong. I just think this team needs to find some physicality on defense quick. Gunnarson strikes me as another in the Petro-Boumeester-Shattenkirk mold. Being a goalie myself, I appreciate t...

Re: Blues re-sign Steve Ott, 2 yrs; Sobotka to Omsk (KHL), 3

Ott should be fine. Good on face-offs and was good for the Blues in the playoffs Reality? 0G, 2pts, -3, 14PIM in 6 games...and he was centering Steen & Oshie when Backes was out. Ott season FO%: 53.8 Sobotka: 61.9 I guess "being good" roughly equals "having a pulse." *sighs* Yeah, you're right. The...

Re: off season mid term status report

Appreciate the thoughts. It's maddening not being able to talk to anyone who knows the Blues here. I hope you guys are right but I'm dubious about our centers. I don't see Lapierre as valuable at all; basic & advanced statistics back that up. The idea of an Ott-Lapierre-Reaves line makes me gag. Th...

Re: Blues re-sign Steve Ott, 2 yrs; Sobotka to Omsk (KHL), 3

Ott should be fine. Good on face-offs and was good for the Blues in the playoffs. Seems like Sobotka wanted too much money for a bottom 6 forward. Good luck to him on those airplanes in Russia. Berglund better start performing for the money he's making (which is too much).

Doesn't this mean that Miller is gone and Elliot and Allen are the Blues goalies? Yep. Armstrong confirmed this in his press conference. Wow, so Armstrong said Miller is gone? I wonder if Miller goes to the Ducks. It wouldn't be a surprise. His wife is out there. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english20...

Re: Duncan Keith: "Wakey, Wakey Backes" after Seabrook hit.

FYI, on KTRS this am they asked Reed Low about it and even HE said it happens all the time! He said when he played he would get knocked out and players would skate by and taunt him and say "I thought you were a tough guy b*itch!". And remember even the NBC announcers said no penalty was called! Ree...

Re: Duncan Keith: "Wakey, Wakey Backes" after Seabrook hit.

The hit didn't look that bad?? did you not just see the video?? Seabrook hit Backes on the "botton" ( right where the jaw hinges) virtually knocking him out. Then drives through the check with his elbow, causing Backes' head to sling shot in to the glass...nasty, dirty hit... The BIG problem I have...
