Classic

Wish I had been there. Should have driven over from Indy and spent the dollars. (Same could be said for the alumni game on Saturday.) Great seeing the love for my hometown on national television. Nice to see the cooperation and partnership between the two pro teams. During the game itself, I had to ...

Tied it up 2-2, but I'm wondering...where did the semi-attractive middle aged blonde with the impressive chest sitting directly behind the Stars bench go? She was an effective distraction.

Re: New St. Louis Hockey History Book

Looks like a great read. When will you be shipping? Been a Blues fan since I was a little kid in the 70s. And even went to a few Vipers games back in the day.

Thanks for doing this.

Re: ESPN Exec Interview on Hockey

I moved to Indy from STL four years ago for a job. I still laugh when I hear some political figure pandering to the media and voters by stating how proud s/he is to be a hoosier through and through. People from here inject that word with great enthusiasm into just about every conversation they have....

Re: Directv Folks, Prepare to Be Angry

Yep, I did the same and he confirmed that the pre game and post games studio shows are not broadcast on Center Ice. Assume the same for MLB extra innings. So, bottom line is paying considerably more for less content. I STILL have hopes that this will be resolved through the negotiations. As one post...

Re: Directv Folks, Prepare to Be Angry

OK, simple question from a passionate displaced Blues and Cards fan with DirecTV for 15 years: if this happens, and I agree to pay for Center Ice and the MLB package, are ALL Blues and Cards games broadcast? Also, I try to watch the pregame and post game shows on FS Midwest....are those "studio" sho...

OTTAWA — Like the man himself, the statue will be larger than life. On Monday in Boston, a bronze Bobby Orr will be unveiled, 110 per cent the dimensions of Orr in the flesh, but a heavyweight -- a 250-kilogram sculpture depicting the airborne No. 4 after he scored THE GOAL on May 10, 1970, to captu...

Re: When do single game seats go on sale?

Thanks. I've emailed the ticket office and if I get a firm date, I'll post here.

The BJs are the closest team to me now, and I will buy a few Blues games from them. Columbus is saying tix go on sale 9/4, so maybe that's a league wide date.

Priced Reduced on STL Arena seat and building brick

For those who have emailed me about my St. Louis Arena "arena circle" seat and commemorative building brick, I have reduced the price from $225 to $150 firm (delivered in STL metro) for both the seat AND the brick. The bricks are on Ebay at $150, so this is like getting the seat for free. Put a litt...

Re: Moving Sale

I like STL better too. It's our hometown and though I've moved away two times before, I always come back. Besides offering a better job and more $$, the thing I like about Indy is that Avon to downtown STL is like three hours -- that's closer than KC or Chicago! I'm sure we'll be back a couple of ti...

Re: Moving Sale

We bought out in Avon, IN. We were pleasantly surprised with how far the housing dollar went in the Indy 'burbs, compared to STL. My job will be on West Ohio Street, downtown. Supposedly 35 minutes door to door, but I'm thinking close to an hour in rush hour. I'd love to meet for a drink or lunch. D...
