• Turgeon goal in OT game 7 vs phoenix in 1999 playoffs. I was watching in my room at around 2 am. I jumped out of the room and ran straight into a wall while on my way to watch replays on the big screen. That's a good one. Fuhr told his team, "get me to game 7, and I'll shut 'em out"...and that'...

I wasn't a big blues fan until I was around 10 in 1993, but here is a list of memories that don't get as much mention as they should: • Turgeon goal in OT game 7 vs phoenix in 1999 playoffs. I was watching in my room at around 2 am. I jumped out of the room and ran straight into a wall while on my...

I want them to have a team full of 22 first overall picks. You mean you don't? Assuming we didn't trade away players to acquire a former #1 overall pick...we'd have one player that was a 22 year veteran, one that was a 21 year veteran, one that was a 20 year veteran, and so on down the line.... We'...

The 8th seed may not need 93/94 points to clinch, but rather 91. If you look at the standings at a points per game ratio, you see that the eighth seed (Minnesota) is slightly above 1.10 and the Blues are at 0.958333. The Minnesota Wild project to have under 91 points, which would make the eighth see...

Even if the Blues continue their current play under Murray the rest of the season, they may not make the playoffs! The Post Dispatch reported today that the Blues would need an estimated 93 points to make the playoffs, or 51 points in the next 35 games. The bad news: That means an average of 1.457 p...

I posted this link in another thread...but it is more appropriate here: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Western/Central/Blues.html Based on standings, records and whatnot, it plays out the rest of the season millions of times and then displays the percentage of times a team made the playoffs. I'...

The Blues are 10-19 now. Looking at the schedule, 19-10 in the future is possible. That gets back to .500. That could happen. 0.500 still doesn't make the playoffs, but it is a great start. We'd have played 58 games at that point. With 24 games left, we'd have to go at a faster pace. Come March/Apr...

The Blues, who now have 26 points with 47 games left for the season, would need 64 points to reach the coveted 90 point margin. That yields an expected value of 1.36 points per game. These points can come in wins (2) or overtime losses (1). Unfortunately, an overtime loss will only increase the expe...
