Great Googaly Moogaly...

The Rivermen got off to a 3-0 lead last night, then gave up five unanswered goals to fall to the Rockford IceHog rip-offs in Iowa.

Did anyone see the game, and if so, was Schwarz as bad as the five unanswered goals against might suggest?

Re: Rivermen to play 2 games at Scottrade

http://www.pjstar.com/sports/x726385385/Rivermen-will-open-2008-09-season-at-Iowa It's possible one or two of those weeknight home games could be moved to Scottrade Center in St. Louis as part of an AHL showcase on the home ice of the parent club St. Louis Blues. A weeknight game in St. Louis isn't...

Re: Rivermen Report Card

Based on my observations of the Rivermen this season, I can't really argue with any of those comments or grades. Porter really stood out for me as a guy who came in with no fanfare, worked his butt off, and earned everything he got. Ditto for Talbot. I liked how Lemtyugov and Drazenovic progressed a...

I've seen quite a few Rivermen games this year, and I see Talbot and Chris Porter as mainstays on the Blues' third line within three years.

Re: Hellstrom suffers season ending injury

He was most likely getting a call up based on his draft position... He was drafted 184th overall, but you're right, guys drafted in that spot always get callups solely because of their draft position... Hellstrom's got more goals as a North American rookie than he had in his last three seaso...

Re: Suck it, Detroit....

Yeah, this is one franked up situation. But, it could have a positive side, maybe. Get all these injuries out of the way and HOPE they stay out of the way, get everyone healthy before the stretch run. But who knows. And you're right Hullie, we cannot go anywhere with just one line. Somehow the team...

Also scored in the shootout.

It might be hard to keep this kid out of the NHL next season...

I was just noticing that all the guys we got for Pronger are lefties. We need a right handed pointman to play the right side on powerplays. This was a real issue when MacInnis went down. Way more lefties than righties on every team...We do have Walker... Wideman, Stuart, Scheffelmaier and Robin Jon...

This can be the Leeann Tweeden Eye Candy thread, and that would be just hunky-dory by me.
