Re: Visiting St. Louis for Sharks game - advice?

I hate when people come visit me in St. Louis for the first time and I have to take them to the arch. Pretty much only tourists and those stuck hosting them go to the arch. It's something you only need to do once and then you are like, "That's it? I don't need to ever do that again." Bridge tap hous...

Re: Realignment plan

It's total BS that the east coast big market teams get a 14% greater chance of making the playoffs every year. That's an additional playoff appearance once every 7 years. That also translates to dollars. I wonder if any additional revenue sharing is going to the west to compensate? No I don't. The s...

The Jackman apologists are out in full force in the asylum with BarnBurner leading the way. But hey, what do I know, I'm an "idiot" for criticizing Jackman. He's a "warrior."

Re: Blues rebuild revisited

07: 13th Lars Eller ok. Props for the Blues in not taking bust Angelo Esposito or the tragic Alexei Cherepanov. Dealt for Halak. I just wanted to point out that we had the 9th overall pick and traded it to San Jose for picks and with that pick, they drafted Logan Couture (62gp/25g/19a/44pts). We tr...

Cole will be back and forth this year as an injury call-up, but he will take Brewer's spot on the roster next year and will be here full time.

Screw this team. They are terrible. Blow it up. Fire them all. Injuries or not, I don't care. I'm so sick of excuses. It's always excuses. SCREW THE EXCUSES. This team is a mess. It's heartless. Soulless. BORING. How many years of this are loyal fans expected to endure? Bring back the Suck-O-Meter!

Who replaces him? edit: 2011 UFA D-men http://www.sportscity.com/nhl/2011-nhl-free-agents-by-position-unrestricted/#Defense Jovocop, Lidstrom, McCabe, Markov, Hamrlik are the highest paid on this list. No one replaces him. Time for our kids to step up. Spend the money on resigning some of them or g...

Re: David Backes Extended

Backes' role isn't to lead the team in scoring. I'm not sure why you think that. Because he's a forward and we paid him $4.5MM/yr for 5 years. I would expect him to put up scoring numbers with that contract. If he wants a big payday and won't re-sign for less, then you trade the guy. If teams are l...

Re: David Backes Extended

Backes has the potential to be one of the better power forwards the NHL has seen in some time. YES you pay him handsomely and hope he fulfills his potential. Plus, he's one of this team's leaders. The fixation on quantitative reasoning by some of you motherfreakers is asinine. This is a no-brainer....

Re: POLL: Who thinks the A. Nigro stuff has gone too far?

I don't find it offensive... but I also don't find it that funny. Maybe once in a while it could be funny, but it's being run into the ground. I voted "YES" but I also believe that if people want to make the joke, they should be able to. We're all big boys here. No need for any action to be taken b...

[I'm willing to bet that if you were standing next to an African American at Top Shelf at Scottrade, you wouldn't turn to him and tell him an A. Nigro joke. I wonder why that would be? Because it's a racist comment. It's not racist. Some people are hypersensitive to race or other subjects. You don'...

If Parise signs an offer sheet that NJ can't match, they are awarded 2 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and a 3rd round pick. Anything you offer NJ will have to be better than that.

Re: Trade concept

As disappointing as Boyes' offensive production has been, he's still better than Gomez or Drury, and he's half the price. He also is perfect on shootouts, so even if he isn't putting up numbers on the stat sheet, he's helping us steal an extra point every 4-5 games.

Regardless, I have two words for the Cards fans of the world. Aroldis Chapman And I have two more words that will come into play soon enough. Tommy John. not if they keep him in the bullpen. If he's throwing 103 as a starter, that's another story. Go ask Joel Zumaya how his arm has held up the past...
