The Rivermen won their fifth straight tonite in a shootout. Six straight wins on the road.

They are good. I stand corrected.

Things are improving.

It was Peoria's third straight victory and raised its all-time record against the former Omaha franchise to 21-3-3. The surging Rivermen earned points for the 17th time in 21 games, moving to within two of third-place San Antonio in the AHL's West Division.

In December, the Rivermen has posted a 6-2-1-0 mark, good for 13 of a possible 18 points. The club is a collective plus-79, out-scoring opponents 37-27 in that stretch. Charles Linglet has points in every game this month, with nine goals and 15 points. Jean-Guy Trudel has 11 assists in those nine co...

The Rivermen have won four of their last five, and earned points in 10 of their last 12 outings. They moved from eighth, to sixth, in the West with the victory.

Seems like on the nights they score they give up goals and when they tighten up on defense they don't score.

Seems like Lemtyugov and Drazenovic are doing well. I'd like to see Birner make some progress.

It's official - Rivermen are good this year (corrected)

Not working out this year. The goaltending is very thin - Schwarz is it. And the vets aren't producing ...

Hitchcock made a stupid move pulling the goalie there.

Backman needs to sit and McKee needs to play Saturday in Nashville.

Legace was great.

belleville news democrat A year ago, Edmonton needed to win its final game just to qualify for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. The Oilers caught fire and didn't slow down until Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals, when they lost to champion Carolina. Edmonton had 95 points, or 49 ...

That's being very short-sighted to say the least. Letting their contracts expire and those assets walk for nothing is the worst possible move for every franchise in ANY situation. There is something worse. Over-bidding and giving vets bad contracts that are too expensive and too long. If another te...
