Re: Craig Conroy Retires

My fave Blue. Sad to see him retire, but I'm enjoying all the love directed his way this past week or so.

Re: Oshie skated this morning

I broke my ankle about 8 years ago, and that seems a bit too quick for me to believe it. I can understand him healing quicker than me, but if he was still on crutches as of last week, I would imagine that his ankle still wouldn't be strong enough to skate.

I didn't realize how crappy the visiting locker room was at MSG. That looks like somewhere you'd change for a rec league!

Re: Time to get my boy playing hockey

I don't think a kid has to be a very good skater at that age to start playing hockey. Have you seen the kids that sometimes play during the intermissions at Blues games? After 8 weeks of lessons, the kid should be able to skate around the rink without help, and will probably be able to stop in some ...

Arguably, this is the pot calling the kettle black, but has this place become the Q&A forum for potential stalkers?

Re: What everybody do on NYE?

I watched the fireworks from the strip in Las Vegas. You don't know the concept of crowded until you try to get somewhere on the strip AFTER the fireworks. I was in front of my hotel, and it was still 12:40 before I made it to my room. Considering that the fireworks are only 7 minutes long, that's c...

I have two tickets, one for Dec. 27th & the other for Dec. 31st. Face value is $44 & $34, 316 row D. I will take $15 for one or $20 for the pair (paypal). As I'm going to be out of town, deadline for Sunday's ticket is Wednesday 5pm, NYE deadline is late Dec. 26th. I will snail mail the tickets to ...

Re: Would we have still traded Pronger if...

The Pronger trade wasn't motivated by a thought of we have Al . Though it wasn't official, I think that in their hearts, everyone knew that Al's career was over in '03. Bill "The real reason for Blues fans to boycott Wal-mart" Laurie put in the pressure to get rid of Pronger, because as a businessma...

Did anyone record the game? I'd love to see the Colaiacovo/Petro/Tkachuk hit/scrum, but I can't find it on youtube.

Re: metro link

Yikes on the murders. I usually park 2-3 blocks away on the street and walk. I've only had one bad experience so far, when I was parked on a side street and my car was broken into. I actually like going on the metrolink, but I really don't have the time on a school night. If I use metrolink, I park ...

Re: Recommendations for Ottawa/Toronto trip?

In Toronto, there are some interesting shops & people on Queen St. West. The area of it near Yonge St. & Eaton Centre is a bit boring (around Spadina is better), but it's essentially like Delmar, only longer. When you're at the HHOF, make sure you check out the inside of the building above - BCE pla...
