Re: Blues trade DJ to Caps

So we trade a player who is becoming a top heavyweight enforcer, who could actually skate and play hockey. To keep Cam who is completely worthless..........but oh wait he's a local guy so that gets rid of the fact that he does nothing for the team. That's like listening to a band that is ear-raping...

Re: Can you name all the NHL teams?

I got them all, but it took me forever to come up with the Hurricanes. Harder than I expected, especially difficult while listening to the game.

I think Brewer has played well the last two games. His pass to Perron today was a great heads-up play.

Re: Lars Eller Will Play Against The Calgary Flames

Say Eller does very well and earns a permanent spot, does he need to be sent down because of the emergency status of his call-up? Could the Blues keep Eller and send another down?

An invisible captain?

The guy needs to start leading by example before he even gets to wear an 'A' again.

Re: New MacInnis Statue

Oh, and on the topic of announcers, I am always surprised by how it can ruin the game for some people. I will agree that Kelly can sound and look awkward, and this happens pretty regularly, but he doesn't bother me much. I just don't notice the play call too much unless it's extremely biased or stup...

Re: New MacInnis Statue

I haven't seen the statue in the flesh, yet. It doesn't make a good impression from the few pictures I've seen. The legs look too close together and skinny; his pants look ridiculously tight. I can't stop staring at them  When I heard a statue was in the works, I pictured his stick being at t...

I'm excited to see how the site develops. Should be good for some intelligent insight.

One note: when was Pete Weber's picture taken?

Aim for the tip of the red arch on the Dish logo on the boards and shoot with about 70% power.

surfthechannel.com - lots of streaming tv/movies

It's not the best quality, but if you're bored you can usually find something to watch.

Might as well just bring Gary Thorne into the booth.
There's no denying his hockey knowledge, but eff, can he be whiney. He annoyed me a number of times last season.

Re: Free Agency / Trade Thread

It's not enough. Fair enough. Jay was pretty respectable last year, and surprisingly, so was Tkachuk. I can see the value in dropping Walt and bringing in Malhotra for a little less. I guess I feel comfortable with the choice to keep Walt because of his offensive upside and what I've heard about hi...

Re: BYE BYE, MCKEE

Well what else do you expect the team to do? They've shown a track record of loyalty towards the two whipping boys for the fans. Just because we don't like one or both of them doesn't mean management doesn't. It isn't like we traded for these guys and their contracts came along with them. The manag...

Re: The Official Roman Polak Saga - Offer Sheet Thread

While I'd hate to lose Roman, I like that the management is not handing out contracts solely on potential anymore. Being conservative now is what I'd like to see, I'm sure if it's a reasonable offer it will be matched.

A 6'2, 230 lbs, 37 year old who will not come close to scoring 25 goals next season. He'll be on the 3rd/4th line, playing a limited role. The money could have been spent elsewhere and put toward an important free agent signing such as Ohlund. Also, what could have been an open roster spot for a pl...

Re: SCT: Nothing But Crosby's vs Ghey Things. (Finals Thread)

I understand people getting upset over Malkin getting special treatment, I don't necessarily agree with it, but I can understand the reasoning. However, people keep saying the ruling is going against the rule book, which isn't the case. The rule states that Campbell will take a look and judge the in...

Re: Check out this video

A story I read last week said that the robber was alive at the time of the second shooting, and was not armed. The guy that got away was the armed one. After the initial shot, call the cops and keep your gun pointed at him. Five additional shots after getting a second gun is premeditated. I can see ...
