They will play under the current CBA before they lose another game to lockout. The NHLPA is not dumb enough to think the league can survive another extended lockout intact.

I agree that pro hockey is definitely in the fourth spot amongst the four major sports, but I disagree that there is a tremendous gap between the third and fourth spots. I don't know a single person who watches the NBA. Not one. I know they exist, but I'm not running into people who just can't wait ...

Is it just one of those short memory things, where the most current situation always seems the most magnified, or has this playoff period been the most violent in recent memory? I can't remember as many dirty hits, fights, and seemingly gratuitous violent incidents (that don't affect game outcome.)
