Re: GDT Game 5: 4/25/14 > Blues vs Hawks > 7:00 PM > FSMW/NB

I don't think this team needs a major change, I think this team needs basically two things: 1) A better goalie which maybe Miller is that guy and just needs a full season with the team, or maybe it's somewhere else or maybe it just doesn't exist. 2) A first line finisher in addition to what we have...

Re: GDT Game 2: 4/19/14 > Blues v Hawks > 2:00 PM > NBC/Y98

Godamm*t, I'm in a tough place as a Blues fan. As much as I want the Blues to just buckle down and finish this thing out right, I also want bickell, seabrook and (especially) toews' heads on a platter. Best case scenario: Reaves leads the handshake line after Game 4. Wakey, wakey. Oh, and Eddie Olcz...

Legit guardianship of home ice. Hope 42 is OK. Noticed Toews chirping at him after Seabrook's hit. I hope to the gods old and new that he humbles himself in the handshake line when he sees our captain. I hope he looks him in the eye and I hope his head is down as much as possible for the rest of hi...

Ott and lapierre have been the worst players on the ice the last three games. Veteran leadership is a mirage

I guess I'll be the one to say what everyone's thinking...

That was a sloppy 2nd period by both teams. It seemed like neither team wanted to take control. Rich Peverley would have played with more heart.

Good to see Chris Stewart heating up right now. He's going to have to be a big part of the offense AND the enforcement out there. I will be shocked if Backes sees the ice tonight. In fact, I'd be very surprised if he saw anything more than ambient light today. Steen needs to keep his head on a swive...

Re: GDT #32: 12/16/13 > Blues @ Senators > 6:30 PM > FSMW/KM

I'm surprised at how unbelievably gritty** the Senators were tonight. First Neil goes knee-to-knee on Steen, leading to a fight with Jackman, in which he continues to take shots at Jackman while the ref has Barrett's arms at his sides. Then, the cross-check to the chin of Backes, leading to a probab...

It's amazing how teams like SJ and LA can physically pick up and move the Blues players at will. In the corners, in front of the net, at the blue line. We can talk about how 2 games doesn't mean much in the course of the season, remember, teams like this will get away with more in the playoffs. :fac...

Re: Blues get Paajarvi from EDM for Perron

The Oilers have no size on the offensive end. He won't have the likes of Backes, Reaves, or Stewart (depending on what line Perron's on at that point) to hide Perron's fragile skull structure. All Perron needs is some scrub from Vancouver or LA or San Jose to take a run at him, he'll be off and on t...
