I'm beginning to think I was completely wrong about Halak... I mean, wildly inconsistent has to be better than consistently mediocre-at-best.

The thought of losing two 1st round picks for Miller and Ott makes me a little nauseated now. I still think he is a big improvement over Halak (complete headcase of the Legace variety), but now that we have a more battle proven goalie, it's becoming more and more clear that it wasn't our actual prob...

My guess is that the blues brass knew they needed to get rid of Federko, but needed someone with national name recognition to justify it and keep hurt feelings to a minimum. Not that I particularly disliked either of them and 800k is a steal for either, really... But I'd have liked room for at least one Rookie (without losing/trading one).
