Re: New owner found???
Apparently one of the bidders is ready to infuse up to $100 million of pure capital into the team. That'd be nice to see, no doubt. But I'll believe it when I see it!

Re: Brewer Will Keep the 'C'
You may not have your next captain for five years... This quote scares me the most. Are they seriously considering keeping this guy around after his current contract?! Why create a marketing campaign around your youth core using the most outspoken of them as the spokesman but then turn around and g...

Re: Jaro news coming tomorrow.
It's just a charity/autograph appearance at a shopping mall in Montreal as a "good bye" to the fans. Nothing earth shattering to be concerned w/in St. Louis.

Re: Tarasenko extends his KHL contract
Nothing official but word is Tarasenko may be signing a 1-yr contract with KHL team, replacing current 2-yr deal Now a lot of details get lost in translation, especially when it's coming from the Russian media. So I wouldn't take any translated websites verbatim. It seems far more likely that JR's ...

Re: What do you think about Afinogenov?
the Stevens, Shanahan, and Nedved deals were news making, sexy signings. Misguided, but news making and sexy. They weren't what I would classify as "misguided". The whole free agent system adopted by the league at the time was ass backwards right down to the compensation judgements. The ONLY reason...

Re: What do you think about Afinogenov?
If you sign an UFA, it doesn't cost anything except money Something this organization doesn't have a whole lot of right now. At least in terms of discretionary spending. They're spending to keep their own FA players. But beyond that, there isn't a whole lot of jack to go around for the time being. ...

Re: Blues sign Halak (4 years)
I think the Blues have ZERO interest in giving Perron a long term deal......it disgusts me........but there are certainly not sold on him what-so-ever (for some unknown reason). I'm not sold on him either. I would rather package him in a deal with a pick to get a proven scorer. Everyone keeps sayin...

Re: Blues sign Halak (4 years)
4 yrs/15 mil. That's totally acceptable. I especially like the way it escalates in accordance to the rising salary cap (assumuption based on previous years and increasing league revenues). The structure really has nothing to do with anything when you're talking about money against the cap. The cap ...

Re: Tarasenko THIS year?!
I needed this after the depressing news of Cam's resigning. The Janssen signing was more depressing than the Winchester news? I mean at least we know Cam's playing on the 4th line no matter what. Re-signing Winny ate up a potential 3rd line wing spot. To me that's more valuable than Cam's 5 minutes...

Tarasenko THIS year?!
http://www.russianprospect.com/interviews/vladimir-tarasenko-im-ready-to-go-to-america Interesting stuff from Tarasenko. Sounds like it's up to his KHL team. But he makes it sound like there's a chance if he pushes enough... The question that everyone want to ask you: where will you play during the...

Re: Chicago Trades Versteeg To Toronto
(Frank) the salary cap, and the only team in the Central that can still touch us is Detroit. Hate to see Versteeg go, but only because I hate to see this cast broken up. I was always kinda lukewarm on Versteeg...way too many turnovers, and he makes 47 dekes before finally shooting the puck (18 feet...

Re: Thursday could be wild!
Bob McKenzie TSNBobMcKenzie Interesting rumour, and I stress rumour at this point: EDM possibly moving Souray to STL with Brewer coming back the other way. This needs to happen!!!!! I don't like taking on the added year @ $4.5mil. Especially when we're apparently going to make a move for Kovy. Not ...

Re: Single Game Ticket Prices Announced
I understand, blah blah blah. But...... After swearing I was canceling my tix after 20 years, I found someone to commit to 10 games and decided to keep my tix one more year. Remember, perception may not be everything, but it is a lot. so, I swallowed a 60% price increase and 33% more worthless pres...

Re: Single Game Ticket Prices Announced
I used to split season tickets with three other guys. I may get back in on that gig. I don't know if I have enough free time to attend 10 games, but I could definitely attend five or six I think. So I could sell 2 games (4 tickets) from each of the Gold and Silver packages worth $35 & $25 each at t...

Re: Single Game Ticket Prices Announced
8 home games are listed as "Value" games where you can buy an Upper Mezz. ticket for $10. That's quite a deal. Now that I've mulled it over I think this is actually a brilliant move. It makes a few games extremely affordable for a family of 4 to come see a game. Most families know their kids just w...

I'd expect us to be busy tonight. Lots of rumors flying around and it seems like Armstrong's ready to put an even bigger imprint on this roster. Kind of excited about the posibilities.
