Re: Official NHL and NHLPA CBA Negotiations Thread

...meanwhile in Switzerland: While enjoying some real NHL-top-shots, like Thornton, Nash, Bergeron, Spezza and Seguin (playing with my hometown-team EHC Biel), I'm wondering about two points: - How come that NHLers play here in europe almost for free, are making an issue (in the NHL) out of getting ...

Re: Can we start hockey again soon?

I still wonder if there will be a lockout or not, clubs over here in Switzerland are somehow planning to get NHL-Players for cheap :ninja:

Re: Anyone work for Charter?

Right now, it's either dial-up, satellite, or wireless broadband for us. Well actually I don't live in the states, but I actually do networking for Swisscom, and therefore my advise is, go with dial-up. Since you already said yourself wireless is "meh", satellite is meher if not the mehest of the c...

Re: Off Season Roster Change Suggestions

Am I totally mis-informed or isn't there that CBA-Issue to be settled? In other words, how sure is it that there will be a "next year"?

Re: Round 2 Schedules

Since I have to calculate this to CET, I wonder in in which time-zone the games are. So puck-Drop-Time for home-games are somewhat clear, but how about the 2pm-time in LA? If it is ET, that would make it prime-time for me, if it is LA-Time it would make it: 2 + 6 + x = ? (with x being the difference...

Re: Round 2 : Blues vs Kings

It would be a pretty big story for the #8 seed to beat the #1 & #2 seeds in back to back rounds. ...which BTW exactely is what happend this year in Switzerland. Although it was not #8, but #7, which sweeped (!) #2 in the first round and #1 in the 2nd round. They went on and won the cup this year......

The game starts (04:30am) half an hour before my alarm-clock starts to ring (05:00am) - at least I will happen to see a period or so :aaaa:

Maybe not really interesting for you guys, but I thought I'd still post it: Yesterday evening in Switzerland: we had game 7 of the swiss national league championship-series. ZSC Lions (coach: Bob Hartley) won against SC Bern 2-1. The deciding goal was scored with 2.5 seconds left in regulation, here...

That's a real sportsman!

Nice story as I think: I know the site is in German, but I'm sure, you guys will find something in English on the intrawebs: http://www.blick.ch/sport/eishockey/stuermer-wird-als-goalie-zum-besten-spieler-gewaehlt-id1793908.html It's about an OHL-Game. The starting goali gets hurt after 2 minutes an...

At least you could to to sleep afterwards and forget about it.

I woke up this morning, turned the TV, and just saw how the Canucks scored. Afterwards I took a shower and headed to work

Re: Blindside Checks

Blindside hits are not inherently illegal as long as there are no elbows, head contact, leaving your feet, etc. Which is why any peewee coach worth his weight will drill the phrase "keep your head up" into players at a young age. Blindside shoulder check perfectly legal. If a blindside check were n...

Blindside Checks

Hi Everyone, Here's the story: I play in a beer hockey league. Last weekend, we hade a game, where our opponents really pissed us off. since it is a beer hockey league, we normally play without checks at all, and also slashes and hooks are not done. Now, the other team really did not care about this...

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have an idea, where I can get some nice Wallpapers of hockeyfights or some really nice checks, preferably with blues-players on it?

Google does not really help :P

Thanks in advance :)

Re: An Open Letter To Patrik Berglund

Was able to watch the game yesterday, and what I disliked the most is that he does not skate hard. He always looks like he was on the ice for already 2 minutes and desperately needs a change. For exemple Reaves: He sees the puck in the corner and he skates as hard and quick as possible to the corner...

I wonder how they are allowed to black out any games, since you pay for nhl gamecenter?! so you pay for something you don't get
