Re: Havlat requests release for personal reasons
Very strange, his ice time was cut in half from his first game, but its probably a family issue.
Time to call Rattie back up.
Whats the deal with Reaves this year? leg injury still a bother? or no need for his skills set?

Re: Armstrong on NHL Radio (injury stuff)
1) Schwartz and Berglund won't be back until sometime after the All-Star break. That's more than 12 weeks for Schwartz and another month added to Berglund who was expected to be back beginning of the year. Maybe Berglund will have a awesome February making it easy to trade him. Hoping Schwartz come...

Re: Blues vs. Canucks - GDT Oct, 16th
I'm still curious as to whether or not the posts on Flashchat can be read after the game is over. Can anyone tell me the answer to that? They can as long as the room hasn't been cleared. And you can only see a certain chunk of them. After awhile, it sort of 'archives' the other comments and since w...

IMO Bouwmeester and Pietrangelo played their best game so far last night. Really hope this is the Bouwmeester we see all year.

I was impressed by Edmundson in this game too. He made some mistakes, but he hustled and corrected a few of them. Good effort, and seemed to read the ice well and break things up. I noticed that too. He made a few obvious blunders but busted his ass to get back into position and break up the play h...

If Fabbri can't come back from this and gets sent back to Juniors I'm confident Rattie will be called up.ecbm wrote:Either Scott Gomez or Scottie Upshall will take Fabbri's place
It'll be interesting to see what Rattie can do in the NHL when someone takes him on waivers next year.

I'm curious to see what kind of dimension Brodziak brings. I feel like he's a decent 4th liner, at least what I've seen of him. Ott is just....Ott. Reaver I like but he's hit his ceiling, so we know what he's going to be. I really liked what I saw of Brodziak I like him better than say Goc or Lapie...

Two rookies on the third pair......you reckless son of a bitch.
For all the talk about how we haven't changed enough those top 3 lines look very different from last year to me. Hope these work and Hitch decides to not get the itch to juggle lines all year.

Re: Edmundson, Parayko, Fabbri, Upshall Make Club
Well if I'm reading NHLnumbers.com correctly, if he started with the Blues then we'd be over the salary cap. Maybe THEIR numbers are off but they're generally dead on with that kind of thing. If that's the case then it would almost have to be a 2 way deal to give some cap flexibility. God I can't w...

Re: Edmundson, Parayko, Fabbri, Upshall Make Club
I'd be offering Gunnarsson, Rattie and one of the young goalies (Husso, maybe?) and see what can transpire from a package like that. A team like the Devils or maybe the Hurricanes would jump at a package like that. Would love to see us get a nice group of low picks and trade down this year.....Tkac...

Re: Edmundson, Parayko, Fabbri, Upshall Make Club
when Berglund returns. Who I think they will play then try and move at the deadline as well. With that contract and a NTC-good luck there. I'm sure we will eat some salary, but the NTC just limits teams, its not a full no movement. He will submit a list of places he doesn't want to play and I hope ...

Re: Waivers Question
I agree with you I wish they didn't have to pass through waviers until they are over the age of 27 or have played in the league for a minimum of 7 years like the way we do RFA contracts.
