Re: AHL Clear Day List?

You still gotta worry about a player clearing waivers. From the PJStar today..... The Blues made four notable paperwork transactions - sending down to Peoria, and then immediately recalling - Woywitka, goaltender Hannu Toivonen, center-winger Yan Stastny and defenseman Erik Johnson. That means all f...

Re: Rivermen update.....

The streak is over! Granted...it went to a shoot-out....but the Rivs take the win 4-3 over San Antonio. And Toivonen stops a penalty shot in the last minute of OT. There, the Rampage had the best chance of the night to secure two points when the team was awarded a penalty shot with just 28 seconds r...

Hellstrom scratched again tonight vs Hamilton.
What would the chances be of seeing him brought back as a forward?

Hellstrom's been a healthy scratch the past 3 (I think...2 for sure) games. Not sure the reason. None is being giving over the Riv's broadcast.

Peoria rookie Nikolay Lemtyugov, the highly skilled player NHL scouts project as a topsix forward at the next level, stunned both sides when, with Quad City holding a 2-0 lead, he pummeled surprised Flames defenseman Tim Ramholt in his first North American bout at 9:47 of the second period. In a division where all 8 teams are playing over .500 hockey the Rivermen have now managed to claw their way up into the 4th spot with 43 points and a .597pct. That would be only 2 points away from the 3rd spot.

Ok...the plea is out there. The Blues have got to do something about finding us another goalie or we are out of it. Beckford-Sue.... 3 goals on 7 shots Pulled @ 2:47 in the 1st period. Gotta be some kind of record. Kid might be an elite ECHL goalie, but is in waaaaaay over his head at the AHL level.

The Rivs are playing in a tough division for sure. If they were in the Western Conference / North Division the 31 points they have (before this evenings game) would be enough for 3rd place.
