Midway through the first, we're hanging in there (on the scoreboard) so far -- but the Jackets are outplaying us all over the ice.

Perron just drew a good penalty. A PP goal might get the team kickstarted. They need to wake up just like they did against Detroit. Hopefully they won't wait until the second to start looking alive.

EJ was damn impressive on that PP, even though we didn't get a goal.

Kariya give us the early lead, despite being outshot!

Nice way to wind down the first period.

Guess I can't complain about leading after the first. And now the shots are even. I got my wish -- they woke up before the second period.

This GDT is pretty dead tonight. Must be because everybody is at the game (lucky bastards).

I would have made my way down after work if I wasn't sure it would be sold out.

I thought it was a fun period. Go Blues!

Just home from work and Kariya with the goal. Seems like once the Blues get that first goal, they loosen up and improve their play. Let's hope it holds true!

Partly because I'm tired as hell and partly because they'll only be televising 3 Blues games here in NY this year... and one of them I'll be at. So I spent nearly $1000 on airfare, tickets and hotel, plus whatever I spend on food and other entertainment, to see a game I could have stayed at home and watched on Versus for the cost of the monthly direct TV bill. It still pisses me off that there were no other games I could fly out to see considering my work schedule. I say next year forget the kids for a few days, I'm going to whatever game I want to go to and they can have a sub to abuse for the week :P

Do it.
Pirates fear Paul Kariya.

Al just about flat out stated Perron is staying up with the team.

[paraphrase]He can't improve in junior.[/paraphrase]

I wasn't listening too closely to the broadcast, but I just heard Bernie Federko make a reference to his statue being moved outside along Al's.

If they replace the bunny statue, I'll be thrilled. Bernie and Al's can be to the Blues what the Musial statue is to the Cardinals.

That's going to be a goal. EJ pushed the goal up in the back.
