One other thing about McDonald...

We just got a pretty good faceoff guy. It isn't like the Blues are bad at faceoffs as a team, but it's really going to help having him around with a number of divisional games still out there between us and Detroit & Columbus (who rank better than us in faceoffs).

Wow. Unsurprisingly, Weight sounds a bit bitter.

Here is a sample:
When asked how the deal unfolded and why he waived his no-trade clause, Weight said: “I just don’t feel like I want to comment on that. It is what it is . . . Over the last 15 years, I’ve developed a pretty good reputation and I’m an honest person. I have no need to leave this city throwing mud, you know. I’m not going to comment on how it went down. If somebody asks me, I’ll tell them . . . and I guarantee my teammates and friends will know exactly what happen.”
“There’s nothing more I wanted than to try and win here,” Weight said. “It was an exciting atmosphere at the beginning of the year. Sometimes things happen that aren’t in your control. Some things aren’t always as they seem.

I still can't believe Weight agreed to this deal.

JD must of threatened to bang his wife, piss in his pool, and kill his dog.

Was Birner just a 'throw in" because he wanted out?
Another Euro gone.
“I was shocked for sure,” Birner said. “I asked the team for a trade or to let me go to Europe, so I knew something was going to happen. I’m going to Portland (Amaheim’s AHL farm club) for sure. I liked playing for this organization, and I will miss it. But this is a new chance for me.”

Who knows, but it's better than Weight + 2nd rounder.

My wife just got a Weight jersey... she's not too happy.
I have Weight on my new jersey. I'll still wear it proudly. Weight is easily one of my favorite all-time Blues.
