This doesn't address Anaheims need to make room for Scott Neidermayer. In any event, no more Dug Waitzzz??? He's on fire! I guess strike while the irons hot, he's put up a few points and his trade value is about as high up as it can be for a 90 year old center with drastically diminished stats. Frank though, I figured Weights spot would be taken by one of the kids next year. Now what?

TIME FOR UNFOUNDED RUMORS

Allegedly, (from friend who was listening to Strickland a few minutes ago) Weight was one of the ones unhappy with the strength & conditioning regimen. Strickland just slurred something about AM and teh Duggy Waitzzz not seeing eye to eye.

Weird.

WHY HASN'T SOMEONE POSTED MACDONALD'S STATS YET. I'M TOO LAZY TO SEE IF HE'S SUCKING RIGHT NOW.

From ESPN, July 2006:
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks locked up one of their top offensive players Wednesday, re-signing center Andy McDonald to a three-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but TSN of Canada is reporting the deal is worth $9.9 million.

In 2005-06, when he recorded career highs of 34 goals, 51 assists and 85 points and finished tied for 20th overall in the NHL in scoring, McDonald made just $627,000.

A finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top collegiate player in 1999-2000 while with Colgate, the 29-year-old McDonald trailed only Teemu Selanne on the Ducks in goals and points. He led the club in assists and game-winning tallies (seven).

An Ontario native, McDonald added two goals and seven assists in 16 games during the postseason. He has collected 61 tallies and 165 points in 276 career contests -- all with the Ducks.

yay for NW Dave.

Chris Kerber says things are still being discussed. KMOX is a bastion of journalistic integrity, appearently.

Speaking of bastions of journalistic integrity......

Cusamanno says that he talked to Weight, and Weight says that he has not yet been contacted by the Blues, but, that he thinks something is indeed happening.

That would make more sense.
It's extremely hard to believe that Burke would make a Weight for McDonald straight up deal.

Apparently this deal allows them to get Neids in the lineup tonight because him coming back puts their salary cap next year over the threshold allowed.
