GDT: Blues @ Blue Jackets, 6 PM Central
I am expecting a BLOODBATH.
But, since the last game between the two clubs was so great, this is sure to be a let down.
But I still think the Blues will win, just not as many brawls perhaps.
But wait, what fun is a prediction like that??
I call for tons of brawls and a Blues win!

During the current 4 game win streak, I've predicted a 4-3 loss in each game.goon attack wrote:you pessimistic son of a bitch!glen a richter wrote:Blues 3

Now that my cover's blown, my prediction ain't worth shit.
Edit: With the exception of the first win, I predicted a 5-2 loss for that one.

Re: GDT: Blues @ Blue Jackets, 6 PM Central
It's important at this point in the schedule that the Blues keep the win streak going...and I'll tell you why...
A few "what if" scenerios...
We're 8 pts. out...I don't think right now that we're legitimately in the playoff race...but at 6 pts. out, we would be...that's the cut off for me. They can get to within 6 pts. of 8th place LA tonight.
Detroit doesn't play tonight, Los Angeles doesn't play, Anaheim doesn't play, Minnesota and Dallas play each other... so if we win, we gain two points on four of the five teams we are chasing as long as the Minnesota-Dallas game doesn't go to OT. PLUS, Los Angeles plays San Jose tomorrow and Detroit plays in Washington. Those are two tough games for the 8th and 9th place teams in the conference...and then the following day we play Montreal...which is a very winnable game.
However, if we lose in regulation tonight and LA wins against San Jose tomorrow (doubtful), we would be 10 pts. out. Ouch.
Soooooo... if a couple games go our way and we win tonight and in Montreal on Wednesday, we'll only be 4 pts. out of a playoff spot...and that would be friggin' huge. In a little over two days, the Blues could either be as little as four points out or as many as 10 pts out. Geez.
Oh...and right now we'd be in 8th place in the East...only three points out of 5th.

Re: GDT: Blues @ Blue Jackets, 6 PM Central
Let's go Blues!!! I'm pretty fired up for these next few games. Our games are actually fun to watch now. With Murray, I'd dvr a game and not make it through much of it before I started fast forwarding. I've actually been able to watch the games we've played under Payne pretty much all the way through. We're a completely different (and entertaining) team.
I love hockey. Period.
