I hate the freaking shootout. I say it win or lose.

Jaro was solid and kept the Blues in the game. Can't help he was left out to dry by his defense a few times. He sucked in the shootout though.

I don't mind shoot outs, I just don't understand how we are so epic fail at them. We can't score, and our goalie always looks terrible. The Blues should just concede the point at the end of the OT and get back on the bus - reduce the liklihood of further injuries.

Great first period, got it going the second half of the middle frame, but really lost it for long stretches in the third. Overall they are playing much better than recent history. Fun game to watch ... until the end.

Blues are 4-8 in last 12 shootouts.

Halak has lost his last five shootouts.

Blues don't have Boyes, Perron or McDonald on the shootout anymore, at least for now with the latter two.

Blues current guys have missed four goals this year on the shootout for being unable to lift the puck.

Halak has two saves in two shootouts this season.

He played great in regulation though. Bad period in the third for the team after the goal. Bad special teams and bad penalty at the end.

Yeah, Halak definitely had a great game, continuing to play strong. He maybe should have been a bit more alert on the SHG, but you ultimately cannot blame that sloppy ass play on him. It's hard for him to come out and challenge a shooter who is emerging completely unchecked from behind his net.

The PP goal at the end - yeah, he coulda sprawled better or more acrobatically, but ultimately that goal is on the PK unit - all 4 of them just chased the puck right into the crease.

He had some absolutely amazing saves.
