It's AMAZING how many Hawks fans were in Buffalo! Based on the number of people that celebrated after Toews scored those last 2 goals it was about 40% Hawks fans. That's not exactly a short trip. The Hawks are truly America's team.
So you obviously haven't been paying attention... Buffalo fans have been rooting for their team to lose so they can get the #1 pick. While there may have been a large Chi contingent, the bulk of the cheer is people rooting against the home team for the all in on tanking the season train.

LOL..so a Sabres fan is going to buy a Hawks jersey!??! I don't think so. TONS of fans were wearing Hawks jerseys. They were actual Hawks fans.

I can't believe there were no games on today during the heat of the playoff stretch run! No games on NBC or NBCSN.

But they got a point so they lead the division.

The Blues are most likely going to play Chicago or Minnesota. The only other team that's possible is Nashville and that's only if Chicago wins the division.

There is so much parity in the league it's amazing! Even Pangs and Kerbs said they've never seen it so close at the end. Up until a few days ago the Blues could either be division champs or a wild card team!

Penguins were about to have a delayed penalty called against them. When they finally touched the puck, Kunitz shot it at the empty Flyer net which caused a scrum. I get if there was a goalie in there, but is it really bush league to shoot at an empty net?

Absolutely.
Unwritten rule. You don't shoot the puck towards the net after the whistle...ever. Goalie or no goalie.
It is disrespectful...it's like spitting in the other team's face, and you will at the very least really piss off the other team.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I always thought it was a protect/don't disrespect the goalie thing, not a shooting at the net thing.

Odds on Roy getting sacked in Colorado after their utter failure this year?

I don't think it's fair to judge this season against last season for them.
Many felt they overachieved last year...and they lost Stastny prior to this season.
He'll get at least another year.

Agreed. They fix their defense/ get the young kids in their pipeline to stabilize and play better on the back-end and they're going to be dangerous. Their offense, even without Stastny, wasn't the issue this year. Though Nate MacKinnon's sophomore slump killed them.

Iginla's still got it man! 26g and 30a this season so far... man oh man.

I'm almost more interested in the fight for the bottom 2 spots in the NHL than who makes the playoffs this year...

Sabres could've locked up a top 2 pick with a regulation loss tonight but instead they're beating the Hurricanes 3-0 in the 2nd period...

But still, assuming Buffalo finishes dead last and is thus guaranteed of snagging Eichel or McDavid... man oh man... Give them 2 years and if they don't mismanage it like the freakin Oilers they're going to be GOOOOOOD.

Their defense is already a lot better than the Oilers too...

That's quite an understatement there in bold. For example, had the Blues actually been unable to outperform that team when they weren't overachieving-I'd fire everyone on the team. Everyone.

Roy won't be fired. Their defense is garbage and their division is brutal and they still could finish with 40 wins and 90 points.

The Hawks play Minny tonight. Kane has started taking slapshots and Q has hinted he could be back for round 1. Nothing official but Hawks nation is buzzing about it.

That would be pretty amazing if he did because he wasn't projected to come back till round 3.

Maybe you should post this to LetsgoHawks instead. I couldn't care less how Kane is doing, or the last time he wiped his butt.

Screw the hawks, screw all their fake bandwagon fans who wouldn't be around at all if the team went through a few years of struggle.

So the Preds and Hawks both lose in regulation. Flames, Wild and Jets all win, so Kings who as of 2 minutes left in the 3rd are losing 3-2 are in a must win game right now to make the playoffs.

Incredibly, LA lost to Edmonton. Quick watched the game from the bench. Calgary could officially snuff out their season Thursday night. Unreal.

Quick didn't play tonight?!!?!?! Is he hurt? That's the only viable explanation Sutter could give. You have to use Quick in a must win game.

Can't find a quote from Sutter but I agree. Whether or not you're giving Quick a breather for the Calgary game or Bernier should be able to handle the Oilers, your money goalie has to start in a game like that.
