We'll have to pay Tarasenko $8 million a year if he scores 20 goals in the playoffs, this season!

Bad time for a softie. The Blues were working on an early knockout punch.

Yeah, kind of took a little of our momentum away.

Allen has been great this series, but he's done zilch tonight. 3 goals on only 12 shots is unacceptable.

Jake Allen will be one of the few parts kept for the rebuild, but he stunk tonight. Did virtually nothing.

I hope the fans boo Oshie, Backes, and Hitch off of the ice. The odds are that they won't get another chance.

Same ol' sorry-a** Blues.

Looks like the knockout went the other way. Of course it wasn't at bad as when the Blues hammered the Wild in game 4.

Dubnyk was the story tonight and this is why he's a Vezina trophy finalist. Now the Blues must win 2 in a row against a team that has not lost 2 in a row in regulation with Dubnyk.

4 goals on 19 shots. (Frank) blaming Allen, Hitch, you fucked this one up.

I see why the optimists celebrate the regular season success we more ofthen have than not so hard; it seems to be what we get left with.

What needs to happen:

1. Bortuzzo and Lindbolm NEEDS to be dressed. Get that garbage off my D lawn.
2. Start Elliott. They've figured out Jake. Change the tempo.
3. Put Bergy on some sort of sniper line (Steen + Schwartz or something). The guy's got gold for hands right now.
4. Stillman, not Army, needs to get on Hitch and this team's ass. This loss isn't on Jake as much as people may want to pin it that way. This team looked like shit...in their own building. Unacceptable.
5. Lehtera can't come back fast enough.

The tying goal was a tough one, but so was Lehtera's absence. Hitchcock chose Goc, and as the knight said in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, "He chose.....poorly." By the time he realized it and shuffled the deck, they were in a hole against a redeemed goalie.

Of course, that's with 20/20 hindsight and they were owning the play until that first goal bounced off Allen's glove.

More playoff hockey Sunday. Past dictates the Blues will shake hands in Saint Paul, but let's leave the past where it is and get a Game 7.

Dubnyk just said they are going treat game 6 as game 7, do or die. The Blues need to do the same.

Guess we'll see which Blues team shows up Sunday. It's an "even number" game so hopefully we get game 2 & 4 Blues.

That very well could happen plus Lehtera should be back. But imagine if the Blues had a 3-2 lead and were coming home for game 6. They'd want to close it out and not go back to Minny.

Minny must be thinking the same thing in reverse.

Hopefully behind the scenes Hitchcock is a little more fired up than he sounds in this quote:

“We did so many good things today. We had a little bit of a lull. I didn’t think we responded as hard as we could have when they scored their first goal. That gave them a little bit of wind. But just did so many good things, you’re disappointed for the guys. We’ll rebound and get ready for the next game.”

How many hear are going to defend Oshie? The guy has been awful. Second to only #19. Those two are atrocious. All #74 does is fall down and give the puck up. #19 only wishes he could do what #74 accomplishes.

The difference is Q's team made it to the conference finals while Hitch hasn't won a 2nd round game.
