Give 'em a power play with 4 minutes left while down a goal - genius!

Series over. More of the same.
And again I'm not even mad. Totally used to this garbage.

Utterly embarrassing.

It's like watching a remake of the same movie with a different cast each year.

My recap of the game after the first period: complete horse dick.

You have a 3-1 lead...you can't (Franking) slow down the onslaught at all in the 2nd? A push I understand, but the Hawks were essentially on a 20 minute powerplay in the 2nd period.

Whatever happens on Monday night, this team gets what it deserves. You lose, Hitch is gone. Backes is gone. Army is probably gone.

You win, well, you unseat the champs and your path to the Cup opens up.

But I have a feeling the majority of us are leaning towards this ending only one way. The Blues could have swept the series if it wasn't for that disastrous game 2. You then have a toss up game in Game 5 and the Hawks unfortunately come out on top. You've poked the bear, it's woke up, and now you blow a 3-1 lead to lose 6-3. All this bravado about 'It's going to be fun to win in Chicago.' Seriously, shut the hell up and just play. Don't fuel a team that's won 3 Cups in 6 years with that garbage.

I have no idea how Monday will turn out. I'm just seeing red right now because, as the refs accused Fabbri of early in the series, the Blues are 'folding like a chair' right now.

First 20 - Looked like a team trying to eliminate their demons.
Middle 20 - utterly embarrassing.
Final 20 - a mish-mash with the defeat in the end. Hawks played better defense in the 3rd with the Blues pushing than the Blues played in the 2nd with the Hawks pushing.

Maybe Hitch needs to hire Chase as a damn assistant. He has pointed out what things the Hawks have taken advantage of this season and in every game in the playoffs when the Blues give up goals, it's the exact things Chase brings up before they happen.

1) Winning a faceoff but not keeping control of the puck after the faceoff.
2) Too many opportunities in the between the slot and the faceoff circle. Chase describes it as two 8 foot aisles between the middle of the ice between the circles and the circles. The Hawks regularly get guys free in those areas and have done so the whole series. Why aren't the Blues taking that away? That's where the rebound opportunities keep coming from.

LETS GO HAWKS
“It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. Tarasenko played 16:56 tonight.

Also, the 55-22 pairing is a dumpster fire.

Also, how will the Ken Hitchcock area be remembered?

You'd think that the coach would notice things not working and change them. Nope. Backes logged 19+ minutes to Senko's 17. Berglund has 16+. How the (Frank) are you expecting to win games when you have your number one scorer playing same minutes as the third liners. Unbelievable shitfuckingshow.

Hmmm....

So 27-6 worked real well as the season wound down. Couldn't have done that for Games 5 or 6, eh? Instead, we get to watch Bouwmeester crap all over himself in Game 5.

The 55-6 pairing worked real well throughout the season. Couldn't see that in Games 5 or 6, eh? Instead, we get to watch 22 crap all over himself and why in the heck won't 55 use his size and crunch the damn Hawks when he has the chance so his partner can take the puck and go. 55 keeps stick checking in one-on-ones, not winning the puck cleanly and allowing the Hawks to bring in their support. Crunch the guy instead of focusing on the puck and the puck is going the other way. These last two games Parayko's focus on trying to get the puck instead of using his size and crunching the Hawks players stands out.

Your number one scorer isn't even getting 18 minutes? WTF??? Yeah, we know Toews and Kane are really good. So are some Blues forward who aren't getting enough ice time

Hitchcock needs to go. WhyTF wasn't Tarasenko on the ice to start the power play late in the 3rd? It's late enough in the game if it's an energy issue USE YOUR TIMEOUT!!!!!

And Backes isn't skating as hard all the time. It's like he skates hard when he absolutely has too to try and break up a chance, but numerous times he's lagging behind the play when the Hawks break out if the D is already in place. He's playing hurt and it shows in his skating.

Horrible coaching in this one. Q outcoached Hitch big time in this one by using Kane and Toews repeatedly in varying offensive zone situations - not always together, just enough to screw with Hitch's lineup matching. It worked.

I still have faith that we'll win game 7. It's an uneasy faith for obvious reasons. But, one thing this team has shown they can do is overcome adversity. I think we're the better team, and we'll be home. Elliott needs to be nails. And Tarasenko needs to play more than 15 minutes (WTF HITCH!!!). But, I think we can win. And games 5-6 will be quickly forgotten if we move on.

Time to exercise the demons and win tomorrow night.

If they don't, I won't be surprised, but I think they have a chance.

Strange game last night - I finally was able to go after having to sell games 3 and 4. One thing i noticed is that both teams showed they were tired - I think the effects of the 2OT from Game 5 were apparent in that the game was played much more open. One thing I'm reading alot about is criticism of Hitch for not playing Tank more but no one is considering if Tank may be hurt and if Hitch was holding him back because of that.
