You work at home! I've come to the office right after the game has ended. Dunno yet how will I survive the upcoming 8 hours.Robb_K wrote:You're tired! I gave up a whole night's sleep. Good that I work at home! It was worth it. Let's have an easier win in Game 2!theohall wrote:![]()

Pretty sure I got that right. Edmundson scores game-winning goal. And just stands there not celebrating until his team mobs him. A "no celebration" celebration.Robb_K wrote:You're tired! He was still in shock. He couldn't believe that the puck would just be lying there waiting for him to pop it into the open net. Lucky for The Blues that HE was the LD, and not Gunnar (who wouldn't have moved up that far - instead would have been laying back to make sure a counterattack could be covered).theohall wrote:Pretty sure I got that right. A far cry from the dickish Kane finger-pointing crap.
Fabbri is out for the season. No chance he comes back. Surgery was March 11. Full recovery after surgery varies from 6 to 9 months. So... he "could" be back in September, but likely won't be 100% until somtime between October and December.glen a richter wrote:Edmundson has really turned himself into a damn good NHL'er.
Also, don't want to sound like a moron here but any word on if Fabbri might make it back at some point if the team goes on an extended run? We keep talking about Stastny coming back but not a thing about Fabbri.
If the Blues as a team work harder at getting the puck through the neutral zone, getting it deep, and fore-checking, the breakaways and odd-man rushes will drop dramatically. Knock off the through the seam in your own zone passes and play more north-south. That's how the Blues controlled the game they won in March. They also didn't turn the puck over in the slot like they did last night. In March, the Wild couldn't even get to the middle of the ice in the Blues zone. The Wild only got there last night off of d-zone turnovers. Clean up the turnovers, more north-south play, get the puck deep, and fore-check to wear out their D. Those things happen - Blues win. They don't - it will depend on if Allen stands on his head again.Robb_K wrote:The Blues' defence and forwards will need to take a note from Reaves and Line 4, and play aggressive in The O-Zone if they want to score enough to win this series. They'll have to hope Allen can bail them out on all The Wild's breakaways and odd-man rushes.
Flat out larceny.cardsfan04 wrote:Allen obviously stole that game for us. You need that here and there in the playoffs, and it's reassuring to see him do it. Now, the rest of the team needs to show up for game 2 though. It's nice that he can steal a game for us, but I'd rather that he didn't have to.
And he did it to Koivu who many consider to be one of the top 3 Selke candidates.WaukeeBlues wrote:Flat out larceny.cardsfan04 wrote:Allen obviously stole that game for us. I marveled at Tarasenko leading up to that Edmunson goal. Even watching the replay multiple times you just stare and wonder how in the hell he got that puck from the boards to the net. He's an incredible player, potentially the steal of a lifetime for the Blues in the first round man oh man.
