Happy Cup Anniversary

I can't believe it's been a year already, dang. With everything going on in the world it feels like about 10 years but hey, defending champs for a little bit longer.

It's funny/sad in a way sort of, that after the final horn I commented--possibly here, possibly to myself, I don't remember, about how it would be great if something happened that prevented or delayed the Cup from being awarded again. I was 100% joking, but here we are. Who'd have thunk, the Blues finally win the Stanley Cup and we get to enjoy it just a little longer than most winners.

Yes, it's gone quickly. Watching those "History Made" videos really makes me miss playoff hockey.

I re-watched game 7 in its entirety for the first time since watching it live. It is absolutely incredible that we won that game. We got dominated most of the first period, good portions of the 2nd and most of the 3rd. Binnington played out of his mind. We had 3 shots in the first period and 2 of them go in. Unbelievable.

That armpit save by Binner was just something else. That game was truly a game of inches. But we won

That was one of the happiest nights of my life.

Of course, BOS fans were roasting Machand for shooting that puck back into Binnington. He had a lot of net to shoot at, but that's a pretty picky thing to get upset about. He put it dead center on net on a one timer...Binnington just got over.
