Blues needed a lw, he can score 20+ goals, plays a complete game, and is making a million less than Schwartz (and the same as Hoffman). Makes us deeper and tougher to play against.

Not sold on this move, but it's probably me being biased. Just seems like Saad is this guy who keeps moving around - even if it was back to his original team once. Even that's illogical because him being moved was usually cap related.

If you trust PDO (that weird adv stat), he's been underperforming the past 4 years, which is why the contract has that lower AAV.

He took a 1.5M AAV pay cut, but if capfriendly is correct, he has a full NTC the first 4 years, which also explains the lower AAV.
