Big if. Word on teh internetz was that teams got BADLY scared off from him due to the fact he got pick in the CHL (first overall I believe) and said "naaaah, I'm gonna stay in Russia."
But hey. At 31 overall at the KHL going to shit, he's WELL worth the risk. And as has been noted in this thread: especially if the KHL is going to sh*t as it appears to be he has even more incentive to come over.
I'm encouraged from the simple fact he reported to the prospects camp and meaningfully participated. Guys like that... maybe going 31 overall put a chip on his shoulder of "screw you guys" to the rest of the league. One can hope. Could end up being the premier steal of this draft from what I'm hearing. But, as always, we'll see.
