TK 421 over at the HF Boards made a nice observation about our boy:
Through 25 games, Sibir leads their division and is 5th overall out of 23 teams in the KHL.

Vlad leads his team in shots with 86,(He had 86 shots in 42 games last year). In fact, he has 22 more shots than the next guy on the team. He's also 3rd in goals with 6. The two guys in front of him have 7 and 8 goals respectively, so he's still in the running for the team lead there. He's 5th in team scoring and tied for 2nd in ESG with 4.

He's also tied for 2nd in fewest PIM and tied for 4th in +/- with a +1. He's doing this while averaging only the 9th most ice among forwards.
He would sure look good in the Note right now.

After translating that site into English, some of the translated video titles are hilarious.

- Koval discourages the puck

- Liv twice saves the gates of Siberia

- Turmoil at the goal line

It was grit, guts, heart, all those adjectives that Canadians sometimes believe to be their own exclusive property. Tarasenko’s ribs were so bad that Russian coach Valeri Bragin ordered him back to the locker room, and Tarasenko refused to go. As Russian goaltender Igor Bobkov recounted, “Vladimir Tarasenko, our captain, he has injury, and the coach said ‘Don’t go’ in the first period, and he said, ‘No, I’m going.’ And he scored the third goal. It’s the best captain in my life.”

Why not - he's already playing injured he'd fit right in.
