The place was surprisingly full. It wasn't a completely filled arena, even though they announced it as a sellout as we were leaving the game. I'd guess somewhere around 15, 16,000 in there. It was a surprisingly delirious crowd, but a complete domination will do that to you as a fan. Fun, fun game.

2 games in and these Blues are extremely fun to watch. Pies pass today was very nice, and I have to give Brewer credit for dropping the gloves after the Polak hit.

I'll tell you what...Petro look slick on the point. Kid can move the puck around and has some hands.

If D'Agostini is given some playing time not on the 4th line, he'll put up 15+ goals this year. Could be a very good 3rd/4th liner for us.
I liked what I saw out of him last year after we got him from Montreal...and he's off to a good start this season.

Unexpected production from 3rd/4th liners is huge.

I think the surprising thing about the Ducks is just how bad their offense is. A team with Getzlaf, Ryan, Perry, Selanne, etc. shouldn't be generating just 2 goals in their first 3 games. And really, 14 shots to 53 is absolutely pathetic. I'd be friggin' pissed if I was a Ducks fan. Unless I'm Snoop Dogg, then I'd be chill.

Obviously they'll be better than they have their first few games this year, but they'll be on the outside looking in on the playoffs.

They weren't that good last year either and their point totals over the three seasons have gotten progressively worse.

The Blues and Ducks are going in opposite directions.

Gotta love Winchester...Anaheim acts like they want to fight the whole time, but most of it is little piddling stuff. Then Winchester erases a player from the field of play and tries to fight three other guys afterwards. I guess you get what you ask for eventually.
