Very uninspired, lack-of-talent performance tonight. It's like we've regressed three years in two days.

Lack of talent, I agree...but not uninspired.

Step away from the cliff, dude. They played well against a good team and lost in the talent show. Oshie probably grabs that extra point for them.

We were outscored 10-3 in two games and came away with a point. I'll take it, now let's move on and work on the PP. Get MacInnis out of the press box and on the ice.

BTW, is Andy McDonald still on the team?

Too much negativity after two losses. You'd think we were on a 10 game losing streak and not a 2 game losing streak following a 7 game winning streak. Losses happen, let's not go apeish crazy.

It just seems like, without Perron and Oshie, at least two of the four lines have no prayer to score.

Our two best forwards and half of our starting defensemen are out.

Some losses are to be expected.

That said, this team NEEDS to start scoring. Our powerplay looks pathetic.

Why is Cam Janssen on the ice? Seriously... the guy does nothing. Don't even give him a stick; let him skate out there and hit people way after the play all he wants. Seeing him live makes me realize how bad he actually is.

Honestly though, good game for the Blues. Johnson has been TERRIBLE, but the rest of the team isn't looking too bad. I thought Boyes was hustling, and Backes was actually where he needed to be. Good signs for them to start picking their points up.

Boyes and Backes.

More than any two people on this team- two guys that MUST start scoring again for this team to have a PRAYER with Perron and Oshie out. Fact.

They looked ok, except for the fact they didn't have a shot on goal over the first 12 minutes of the 2nd period.

Much, much, much better than last night, but the offense is still struggling big time...and with Oshie and Perron out, and Backes, McDonald & Boyes not scoring much...the lack of offense is not surprising.

It's gonna be a tough go of it offensively for a while.

What's more likely, that Boyes starts scoring again, or that the Blues need to look for supplemental scoring elsewhere?

Boyes does one thing well, and he couldn't even do that last night. He's toast.

They should have picked up supplemental scoring in the offseason.

And to be fair to Boyes, he was 3 for 3 in shootouts going into last night. He's not going to score EVERY time in the shootout...he's going to miss once in a while. And 75% is pretty damn good. I'm not worried about Boyes in the shootout...I'm worried about him during the game.

McDonald singlehandedly created the scoring chance and set up the first goal last night. Backes may have gotten the goal but that entire play should be credited to McDonald.

Why is Jordin Tutu still ambulatory?

Unfortunately - the Blues did look pretty decent last night.

And took a loss on home ice for their efforts.

Watching that game, I just don't see how they beat a decent team without pitching a shutout. They played with great effort, got some lucky bounces and generally played how they needed to play. And still they were very clearly overmatched.

This team's in trouble. They needed another scorer before Perron went down, needed 2 more before Oshie went down and with both down they just don't have any firepower out there at all.

We're going to see some very ugly hockey for the foreseeable future.

But if we keep our heads above water then that bodes well for the playoffs... this team needs some adversity to help these young guys develop their leadership and unity.
