About half of Illinois folks (most people south of Springfield) are Blues fans...so... I'm not so sure about that map.

Well if you look around Pittsburgh... you see that it isn't always entire states.
But LA is what 70% transplants? I'd bring my hockey team with me..

I understand that...but it's not a map based on population...it's geographical. The bottom half of Illinois should have the Hawks logo, not the Blues.

I see Minnesota as a rising rival. Within 2-3 years, I suspect they will be very hated.
On the issue of Illinois Blues fans, you can see a shift away from the Blues to the Hawks. In Springfield, it is now Hawks gear in the stores and Hawks games on the TVs at bars. It also appears that the Hawks organization is making a concentrated effort to rope the Peoria region and it appears to be working. Based on my central Illinois observations, the Blues' fan base is shrinking and going Hawks. I guess Championships will do that.

This map is just one fan's opinion. I certainly would disagree that the Blues are the most hated team from a Chicago standpoint.

Exactly my thought. Odd. Also: Alabama hates the Canucks? I guess that's the opinion of the three hockey fans there. My time living in the south makes me suspect most Alabamans have never heard of Vancouver.
