I'm a huge Blues homer but it never really felt like we really had a chance in this series. Hoping Edmonton destroys Colorado in the next round.

While I hate admitting this, Colorado was the better team.

At the same time, Husso can't let shots go in when shots are from the top of the damn circle... Yes, he made a crap ton of saves, but the vast majority of those were from outside shots. Yet, two go through in the flipping 3rd period from guys who don't shoot that well. Losing Binnington on a clean play, as much as we hate Kadri, may have been the difference in this series.

My only two questions:

1) Why wasn't Leddy ever used on PP1 in Games 5 and 6 after what he did in April when Krug was out? I seriously don't get changing BOTH units by moving Faulk up. Ever since moving Faulk up, the Blues PP didn't score again. It's like the staff forgot how successful the power play was with Leddy on the 1st unit in April. This was a bizarre coaching decision to me.

2) Why not give Lindgren a shot? Husso gave up 2 soft goals in every game he played vs the Avs. Why keep playing a guy giving up soft goals?? "Confidence" in a goalie doesn't mean squat if the goalie keeps giving up the same softies. He did it in Games 4, 5 and 6. So what if the Blues won game 5 with all the good saves he made. He still gave up 2 more softies. IMO, time to move on and let Husso walk in free agency. See what someone else can do as Binnington's backup, or starter to piss off Binnington to make him play angry in the playoffs. After Husso's shutout vs the Wild, he never elevated his game and is limited by his inability to handle the puck. Hofer is a puck-handler, like Binnington. I understand Berube pulling the we have confidence in Husso line, but it was the wrong decision to me given how the Avs picked on specific aspects of Husso's game and that started from the moment he replaced Binnington in Game 4. Almost like the Avs used film from the Blues-Wild series when Husso was exposed by the Wild in Games 2 and 3.

For me, it's Go Bolts to see Maroon get 4 in a row. Don't care about any other teams playing, although I wouldn't be upset if Brind'Amour got the Hurricanes in the Final.

A secondary reason to move on from Husso, he's already 27. It's not like he has time to miraculously improve what the Avs and Wild exposed.
