I'd figure Shayne Corson was your type of player.

Did Corson average 400 PIM's per season?

I'd have to go with

1) Harry Ornest - almost selling the Blues to Saskatoon after gutting a competitive team
2) Eric Brewer - by far one of the worst defenseman I've ever seen wear a Blues jersey. Still have no idea why he's a captain.
3) Mike Keenan - let's trade away all of the Blues talent for grinders..... and then wonder why they can't win playoff games.

Speaking of loving grinders and not winning playoff games... have you seen what Murray's teams have done in the post season?

If I remember correctly, they made it to the second round the season (2001) they traded Blake (their best dman) to Colorado. In that second round, they took the eventual champion Avalanche to a hard fought, competitive 6 games. In the next round, well I don't want to bring up that debacle.

That was the farthest he ever went. First round exits or don't make it other than that... and goals for went down each of the first three years he was in LA... just like we are doing here, lol.

He's a very good coach for college or minor league players, but he is NEVER going to win this or any team the stanley cup with his system.

I'm not his biggest supporter or even saying that he shouldn't go if the struggles continue. BUT, if he does stay, I hope you have to eat those words!

Amen.

How about trading for 18 of the 20 players on the roster [save for MacInnis and Hull], then claiming it is not "my team."

Yes, he was mentioned. I disagree though. By no means am I a Jeff Finley fan, but he did his job as a stay at home defenseman. The only problem I've gathered that people have with him was his complete lack of offensive capabilities. He wasn't a horrible defenseman, and CERTAINLY not the worst player to wear a Blues jersey, just a quiet player on the ice.

If you take away his last season as a Blue, ('03-'04) his stats weren't bad. Finished seasons +/-: +12, +26, +7, +12, -2

Brewer just wishes he could be close to -2.

Charlie Huddy was pretty awful in a Blues uniform.

Anyone remember defenseman Gerry Hart? Circa 1982.

All I can remember is him trying to freeze the puck in the corners on virtually all of his shifts.

Overall, Kariya hasn't been worth it at all, way too much money for what we have gotten out of him. I don't hate him by any means, but still worth mentioning.

The 3 Stooges, I mean Russians. Big V, little V, and Igor.
Craig Coxe was prolly the worst player to ever suit up in an NHL game, but he did look like Shaggy from Scooby Doo, so he keeps out of the cellar.
