kind of fun watching the Hawks post game. Konroyd looks like he's about to cry. Mayers whining about the Hawks not getting calls! Hawks and their broadcasters look stunned; I think all their talk about this being two heavy weights slugging it out, anybody's series was just that; talk. I don't think they felt the Blues could beat the Hawks.

So........the 'narrative' is over, but I stick by my assertion pre-playoffs; anything short of at least making the conference finals is a disappointment.

Beating the Defending World Champion Chicago Blackhawks in a game where old era hockey actually prevailed? For now, I will accept this win as the ceiling, until we play Dallas that is :D.

Tarasenko, Schwartz, Fabbri, Parayko, all draft picks, among many others! Hell even Lehtera was a draft pick.

You HAVE to draft in the first round in this league. Have to. And get lucky in a few of the later rounds. Majority of the guys out there tonight were Blues draft picks.

Parayko is just a f*cking stud. What he's doing out there as a rookie is un-f*cking believable. Lucked out in the draft and now wouldn't trade him for the world.

Agreed on Dallas: Thus far this year they've generated success out of turning games into track meets and getting good goaltending. Blues defense could cause them to regret that strategy really darn quick.

IMO, Parayko needs to use his size more and hit guys instead of stick checking when he has a clear chance to crunch someone. I'm wondering if something happened in his development that makes him hesitant to use that size, because that's what it looks like watching the games when he seemingly won't hit someone he could legally crunch.

WB, damn right on Parayko' s positioning. It's been outstanding in almost every game this season. Game 6 was a weak one in which hitting could have helped.
