TSN wrote about the Blues for next season

Pretty interesting. I love Canadian writers; they don't suck Brewer and Jackman off like St. Louis writers do. I found the Kovalev remark a little interesting too.

I know it's just opinion, but I found this interesting:
TRADE MARKET
Alexander Steen, Jeff Woywitka, Jay McKee
He mentions a few possibilities for blueline depth and if the Blues went that route they'd almost have to move a D.

Why do they have DJ King rated so high? Also, why is it that no one likes to speak of Chris Holt as a possible back up? That drives me nuts.

My only guess as to Holt is that they're so high on Bishop & they'd like to give Holt a little more time to develop. That's the one position that most clubs are hesitant to rush.

I think Holt is better than Bishop, but he never gets any recognition. It's always Bishop people speak of.

I've heard others say the same thing about Holt, though I haven't seen enough of either to make a call.

Bishop 22
Holt 23

Both should be getting close to making the jump. Makes me wonder which one has what it takes, or if maybe Wamsley isn't spending enough time with them. It will be interesting to see who management signs as a backup & what type of contract they get.

I'm not sure what the future holds for the goaltending of this team. Part of me thinks that Allen is their long term choice for #1, but when there's so much uncertainty.... goalies take time to develop.

I'd like to see Palushaj at some point in the season, popping in when there's the inevitable injury and getting some NHL time. Could replace Walt after next season, unless they decide not to bring him back. In any event, if he does come back I'm sure it'll only be a 1 year gig.

Bishop is from the Lou, that is why more people talk about him than Holt. Also, might have something to do with us drafting Bishop and Holt was let go from the Rangers I believe? Or however we got Holt, I am pretty sure the Rangers cut him loose and we picked him up.
