What is Crosby doing slashing Maltby in the ankle when he his going out to congatulate his goalie after a victory in game 1?

Call attention to it like Alex Kovavlev did when he took a slash on the wrist a couple years back while the other team goes and scores to win the game? This wasn't the case here, but Maltby had a real good opportunity after that and is was because of Cindy crying on the ice. Could have been a one goal game with 7min to go all because Cindy is trying to call attention to a little whack on his leg.

That was pathetic. He decides he wants to dive, thereby taking himself out of the play for a solid amount of time. Him deciding not to play and act like he got slashed to try and draw a penalty might have cost his team a goal. I hate the Wings as much as the next person but after I saw that replay I was like "you have GOT to be effing kidding me"

And yea, in that second period, it's a very, very rare thing to see the Wings flustered, but that is exactly what happened. Their puck movement went down the tubes- the Pens' confidence soared, they were playing relaxed, fluid hockey, and the Wings just buckled for a solid half of a period. Extraordinarily rare to see. I loved it.

While I agree with everyone that Maltby is a bitch, this was a blatant dive by Crosby. He went down like he was shot in the back. I will back the Wings fans on one thing; Maltby has been called in the past for diving (even though it was maybe like 5 times in his career) but Crysby never will be called on it. He's the NHL's golden boy so he can get away with anything he wants. I hate that little faggot more than anyone else in the league.
