Plus they've got cap issues out there too. Maybe they're going to flip him for something else. Or maybe they're just crazy in Philly. Either way, I understand why we weren't in the running for this.

What's interesting is that this whole deal seemed to take place over the last 45 minutes. So maybe it was more of an "impulse buy" rather than a thought out deal.

The Pronger deal sounds like a surprise sexing. Also I am surprised no one is in flashchat

Another d-man?

Lots of good North American forwards available. Interesting pick.

I guess I trust in Jarmo as well, but is anyone else tiring of exclusively drafting players from Sweden?

Oh, there was a draft tonight? Just kidding. I thought this place would be a little more lively tonight. Can't wait to see what goes down tomorrow.

Sorry I saw this too late. Someone had a link to it on the STL today board. The reason I still mention it is if someone is trying to watch Saturday. Dunno if it would be on, but good chance for the first couple rounds anyway.

David Rundblad - D - Skelleftea is a decent pick for your team.

Any thoughts on our pick: Jordan Schroeder

SIU LAW wrote:Swedish poster from the Asylum:
I just read in the swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that the Blues had interviewed swedish prospect Carl Klingberg in a somewhat unusual way.

The Blues called him to their hotelroom and asked him to take off his clothes (except the underwear) and stand in front of them. Then they asked him to do 3 high jumpes infront of their table, a table which 10 of the Blues scouting staff sat behind.

I don`t think they wanted to check my physical status, it was more of a mental test, to see how I would react, Klingberg said.

In the same article they say that St. Louis is famous for doing stuff like this, and they put Patrik Berglund through the same routine before picking him in the first round of 2006.

Klingberg is a big forward from Frolundas juniorteam, (the same team as Lars Eller) and he is supposed to be picked somewhere between #20 and #40...
