It was confirmed. Sbisa, Lupul, and 2 1st rounders, and apparently a conditional 3rd for Pronger

Philly got hosed. Bad trade, for someone who is going to a UFA next season.

And I think Philly is also pushing the cap as well, so I don't if how they will be able to afford him.

This just magnifies how shitty the return was that Lar got for CP when he was 4 years younger.

I am sure they have some kind of verbal agreement with Pronger about resigning there, but I could be completely wrong and he could sign for us next year. But, I have got to believe they have something in the works to give up that much for something with ayear left on his contract.

DarrenDregerwhispers on the draft floor Pronger will be asking for a 5 year extension at 6 mil or better.

Except that he's had 2 or 3 amazing playoff runs in those 4 years and never accomplished squat in the postseason with the Blues.

Somewhere, CheesesteakDude is doing a happy dance.

Even though he is one of my favorite players, I'm glad we didn't give up all that for him.

Anyone else find it strange that Lupul and Pronger have been traded for each other twice now?

A shame you can't say the same for Brewer.

Yea, those Hart and Norris trophy winners are worthless.

I can't believe a lot of Ducks fans are upset with this trade. They're not happy to have Lupul back, especially at his salary. Still, Lupul isn't that bad, and the inclusion of a prospect and two first round picks is enough to make the deal insanely good.

Quality of play though- I would take Pronger over Niedermayer. Scott has not been the player he once was and Pronger is still dominate on the back line. I think they are upset over the choice of moving Pronger and keeping Niedermayer.

I'd really like to see Pronger back on the Blues, but not at that price for just a year. Hopefully they can pick him up as a FA next summer. Philly is crazy.

I think it's silly to compare the Blues trade of Pronger to Edmonton's and Anaheim's trade of him.. Pleau's hands were completely tied when he did it. Laurie openly saying that he had to be off of the books made trading him mandatory. Once that is the case your return is going to be shit about 99 times out of 98. Anaheim probably could have kept Pronger even with the caphit. Because of that Philly had to give up more to entice them into a trade. The situations are not compareable.

The only part of that that surprises me is that there are Ducks fans.. And they know there is hockey when they aren't in the finals.
