Alex Auld Traded to Dallas...

for a 6th round pick. Auld has 1 year left on his contract, and is making $1,000,000. I think this would've been a decent trade for the Blues to make. He's a good goalie that's been stuck on mediocre to horrible teams his entire career. He definitely could've handled the back-up role very nicely.

I have never been an Auld fan. His mechanics are all over the place and he is slow. If he has a solid defense in front of him to stop side-to-side passes, he probably does ok. He would fit with Detroit or Calgary. Sadly, I don't think we are sound enough for him. I think Conklin is a better fit for the Blues.
