I want to be able to do things and I ask all the time. I want to train more, go for a run, go skating, or swing a golf club. But I'm just not ready for it. It's all right ... I'll get there at some point.
God, what is it with this team and the love for golf?!

Was doing a little number diving and Brewer has totalled a -59 since coming the Blues in 4 seasons, 2 of which he missed over half of the season and an astounding -14 in 28 games last year!!!

Yuck.

Which lead the team until Jackman started to suck it up. Ooops I forgot about Boyes too.

I like Boyes and all, but that dude is the biggest defensive liability evar. If he could actually play both ends of the ice, this team would be much improved.

Yup. It's too bad the PP doesn't help your +/-, cause then he would in the + then.

Honestly, half of that was having Andy McDonald as his center. McDonald at center is an even bigger defensive liability than Boyes. That's why he was moved to wing with Backes as the center. Boyes was actually +1 the second half of the season.

With how good that second half was for the Blues and he was only a +1? Not much of an accomplishment for a top-line player IMO.

To be fair, he is a powerplay specialist. As long as he can stay around even at even strength, he's a major asset to the team. Look at some of the other top line players on good teams without gaudy +/- numbers:

Crosby, 103 pts, +3
Iginla, 89 pts, -2
Cammalleri, 82 pts, -2
Kane, 72 pts, -2

I also don't hear you complaining about Backes only being +1 the 2nd half of the season either.

Fine, damnit Backes!!!

Is that better?
